In the 90's you could walk into pretty much any high school pretty much without issue. There were not major screenings, or proof you had a kid there. You might have to sign in a visitor's log. It most likely was just a "A friend of Mr. Giles from England has come to Sunnydale. Poor thing, he is so awkward he has no way of getting friends on his own as an adult so he is hanging out in the school Library with a friend from childhood."

It’s just something that I notices while rewatching it, and it is always fun to do that, as long as you don’t take it too seriously. :) To be honest tough, being a fantasy show does not really give you a license for logical inconsistencies. I personally don’t mind and find them funny, as long as it’s within certain limits of basic logic. But yeah, the greatest mystery of all is maybe why people move to Sunnydale at all if people there die like flies day after day. I guess real estate prices must be unbelievably low. :))

Ha! It never gets old to see people overanalysing Buffyverse anomalies. I just figure if one is watching a show called Buffy the Vampire Slayer, one should be prepared to suspend disbelief. If we can gloss over the incredible mortality rate at good ole' Sunnydale High, what's an extra person in the library? :)

At my school, several of the young foreign language assistants - male and female - err..."got with" some of the students at the Leaver's Ball. I guess the fact we were all 18 and leaving meant no one really cared. Kind of weird how Wesley doesn't have a job though. Lingering on school for months for no reason is a bit strange haha.

Angel probably wanted to wait to after the prom - like, he wasn't planning on having the discussion at that moment. He tried to pass it off as "nothing" but it really is hard to act normal in a relationship once you have made the decision to leave.

I’d say it would be a bit they same as all the deaths/monsters on campus.... they are just forgotten and overlooked or the story is changed. Vampires become gangs on pcp, “last years debacle with the swim team”, the fact that they can record themselves are the senior class with the lowest mortality rate ever at Sunnydale High. Nobody bats an eye. People would just assume he is meant to be there, overlook the fact they don’t know who he is. It’s the Sunnydale way.

That scene with the award at the prom… Damnit, it gets me every single time. I've been like preemptively tearing up several times the past two weeks or so just because I knew it was coming. Am I a great big softie, turing into a blubbering mess over a thing like this? Yes, and proudly so.

Regarding the finale 2 parter are you releasing both together or do we have to wait a week between episodes?

You are probably right. On the other hand, how many librarians does this school need? :) You never see any people besides the gang there anyway....and nobody seems to care about the group of students hanging out with the 2 adult librarians there all the time. :)

I assumed he got a position with the library. like the council has some pull with the school and how they hire people. but yeah the dance thing.... maybe he volunteered to chaperone with giles... but him dancing with a student.. yeahhhh 😳 lil sus

So...I don't know if anybody besides me ever wondered about this. But how the hell is everybody completely ok with Wesley just hanging out at Sunnydale High all the time? :) I mean Giles officially is the school librarian, so that's his cover. But Wesley just walks in there, hangs out with students in the library all the time, even goes to the prom and dances with a student...and nobody ever wonders...who the hell is this guy?!? :) It's never mentioned what his official position should be there, or is everybody just assuming he his the school librarians assistent? :)
