Omg - so sorry for even comparing these two franchises, but just realized that with Buffy being able to read minds except for Angel's, this episode is the opposite of Twilight with Edward (the vampire) not being able to read Bella (the human's) mind 😂

I learned of it last year when Charisma Carpenter tweeted at Stacey and she replied with this epic love tweet about Cordelia. Apparently Stacey's other favorite show is Supernatural, ha!

I have completely missed you posting the bonus Buffy! I guess this way I have an episode today and an episode tomorrow which is brilliant! This one has one of my favourite Xander's quotes: "4 x 5 is 30" lol On more serious note as a European a school shooting was a completely foreign concept to me. I was a year away from graduating high school myself when Columbine happened and I remember all of us being super confused as to how a couple of kids our age would get rifles and start shooting up their school. It's insane how things never got better for the US kids and now the whole world seems desensitised whenever we hear about new shooting there. Years later I've read Dave Cullen's Columbine and I always rec the documentary called Tower on the 1966 Texas University shooting - it's just so beautifully done. ETA: oh and if you ever get a chance watch Polytechnique - amazing Canadian film based on 1989 Montreal shooting.

speaking of fanfic... anyone else think it would be interesting to explore an alternate timeline of sorts, where they weren't able to cure Buffy so easily which led to her and Angel having to basically isolate themselves while they and Giles and the gang continued looking for a cure? Maybe a story that could take place over the course of a few months or even a few years? Seeing that she doesn't hear Angel's thoughts he would really be the only person she could be around for extended periods of time. Exploring this conflict or that and watching them find ways to solve the problem while dealing with her condition until they were able to find the cure... a cure that might come at a cost or at the end of some quest or another; some kind trial that she and maybe someone she loves has to endure. IDK... Just seems like there are many possibilities and loads of potential there.
