There only two episodes I don't like. Ted is one - it really creeps me out. I find it disturbing to watch. Bad Eggs - It feels to me like all the writers went home early. I think that the writing, directing and acting just improves exponentially, from an already great level, every year.

"What kind of college party has spin the bottle" i guess that's something they did back in 1999/2000 :P

I love that you enjoy unpopular episodes - it gives me a new perspective and makes me take a second look at them, when the "accepted wisdom" is that they're skippable. The subject of repressing the sexuality of children is a difficult subject, and not something people want to think about. Kudos to the writers for trying to address it. And I'd forgotten that this ep features Giles singing - that was a real delight. Much like how you said "I Will Remember You" is for Bangel stans, I think this ep is for Buffy/Riley stans - the idea that Buffy/Riley are so hot together that they trigger a poltergeist event adds a lot of fuel to the Buffy/Riley ship. But at the time this aired, a lot of people hated Buffy/Riley, so the very premise of the plot was going to fall flat with them (I'm personally not a Buffy/Riley fan, although in these crappy times, his Captain America earnestness is more appealing). For me, the downside of this episode is that it seems to lose tension and humor as it goes along. It starts out with fun character dynamics and weird happenings, and by the end it's just Anya and Xander fighting decorative branches. I know the budget isn't their fault, but it feels disjointed. What do branches have to do with repressed sexuality? All the interesting points of tension just peter out for me. Spike surrounded by the military guys, Xander's borderline cheating - they're dropped by the third act. The evil old lady was introduced too late so the mystery of her is brought up and resolved too quickly. There were a lot of interesting pieces but they don't build, so the ending feels weak. IMHO, anyway. I haven't thought about this episode in a long time so this was an interesting reaction for me!
