Season 2 does have more great episodes than season 1, however, there are still several not-so-great episodes scattered throughout the season.
Allan
You NEED to keep it up! 5 more episodes and then you will get to THE GOOD STUFF.
Rue
Ayyyyyye! So one of the nerds (the tall skinny dude with blonde-ish hair the monster kills and makes him look like he's killed himself)? That's a baby Chad Lindberg, who played Ash on SPN, pre-mullet! Also - yeah, baby Wills is a precious mess, but we love her.
Jeffrey
Congrats on one more semester!! No spoilers agreed.
Alley Box
im so so glad ur enjoying!!! unfortunately i only get a week off and then classes start again :( but its my last semester of undergrad!! :D and i will definitely watch the passion of the nerd once i get more into the show, he goes way in depth but also references later episodes so i dont wanna accidentally spoil myself :)
Jeffrey
Youtube just recommended your channel to me today, and you've made my Quarantine! I watched Buffy when it was live, and I envy you getting to watch it for the first time ever. The vicarious enjoyment I get from your videos is making today go by so much better. Buffy is my #1 background show while cooking, and now I get to enjoy Buffy with company. I hope after finals you donโt have anymore classes for a while and can get through the episodes quickly! As others have said, Supernatural was an amazing post-Buffy show, something to fill that monster-void I was experiencing. However, after Eric Kripke left as show runner (end of season 5) I didnโt find it as enjoyable. Next two favorite background shows: Battlestar Galactica and iZombie. I live in Seattle, so having a zombie outbreak happen in Seattle is quite fitting.

I can't seem to figure out how to include carriage returns and URLs and text at the same time. The link I previously posted is to _The Passion of the Nerd_ analyzing episode 1&2. He's pretty damn amazing.

I agree, it's actually a rather poignant mind set. A feeling of tangibility to written works we might not otherwise appreciate in the digital age. And it actually disarmed Ms Calendar, and made her think
Allan Cornett
This how I feel about Buffy. https://youtu.be/CU20idhRAwI Donโt worry, not a spoiler.
Tessa Grissom
Props for taking on this episode, it's probably the most skipped on rewatches. Your reactions have a lot of character and I love it
Allan Cornett
No worries. I have guilty pleasures too. I showed a movie to one of my friends that I remembered as being one of my favorites. It was horrible and I apologized to my friend for putting them through it.
Alley Box
haha yeah i tend to leave out any reactions if 1) it isnt at least somewhat funny 2) i didnt add anything substantial to the scene (like a comment or question) but yeah their scene was definitely interesting to actually see some character development lol
Dave Ford
Can we please not talk about future episodes? Even if it doesn't have spoilers, it's still going to affect Alley's reactions.
Dave Ford
One thing i noticed you left out of this (and you only registered a faintly disgusted 'eww' in your full length vid) was Jenny Calendar's teasing/flirting with Giles. This is the only substantial character development in this episode and, for me at least, makes up for the complete lack of engagement the writer apparently had for Willow.

OH SHIT LMAOOOO i love twilight for its cringey nostalgia but ur not wrong ๐
Allan Cornett
I usually skip this episode. I had to see your reaction though. The demon had to be Edward from twilight. He thinks owning someone is love.
Arnold Kim
The best thing about the episode is the โWeโre doomed! Ha ha ha...โ ending. I also did like Miss Calendar and the way that she kind of challenged Giles this episode. Other than that itโs pretty forgettable.
Alley Box
hahaha thanks!! glad u like it :)

Your editing is THE BEST ๐๐๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐๐ Legit, the first time I've enjoyed this episode lol
Alley Box
oh yeah i get it. internet was very scary and thats how i grew up until i was like 13. and yeah.... now everyone is lonely so we r all online dating ๐ lol
Nicholas J Hoover
I liked the episode but it loses a lot when you don't understand the angst around using the internet to meet people back then... Like it was huge. even into the early 2000s online dating was shameful and only for the desperate.
Nicholas J Hoover
Willow does develop. ๐ That's all I'll say.
AlyAdmirer
"Empty" hits the nail on the head. I enjoyed it at the time, but then again, it's a Willow-centric episode and Willow owned my soul from the jump. :-) This and "Teacher's Pet" were probably my two least favorite episodes of Season 1... but it might have helped me not dislike it as much as others do that it was the episode of Season 1 that I saw *last*.
Ed Badalucca
The Internet was such a dark and scary place in the 90s. writers did *not* know what to do with it.
Alley Box
hahaha thanks!
FernWithy
Ah, I Robot, You Jane. Often on the top ten list of... worst Buffy episodes. But it still has a few fun moments and some of it is silly enough to be funny on a meta level.
Bisibia
haha ok ok you made this ep watchable
AJ Newton
Ah, season 1 filler...it certainly exists. Look at it there, existing.
Alley Box
haha thanks!! tried to make it up for it being a kinda boring episode lol
Koz
Now that is a fine job of editing.
Alley Box
thank you!! glad you like it :D
Jenn Rose
Always look forward to your editing! ๐ So many reactors out there and this really sets you apart โบ
