Healing through creativity and naturism

He was eight and bold.
Asked me out in the warmth,
As if innocence could hold.
Out in the sunlight,
Behind my uncle’s old car,
A place so harmless,
But he went too far.
Now a pre-teen,
Feeling far from clean,
Trying to act grown,
When childhood's unseen.
He made my soul hurt,
Left a wound so deep,
No father's love could find,
The innocence he'd keep.
Now I’m grown,
With scars left to seal,
Visiting that child within,
Who still needs to heal.
Trusting men like shadows,
Who aren’t so real,
Reaching for comfort,
Just something to feel."

Through the openness of naturism, I’m learning to reclaim what was taken—to feel at ease in my body and to see it as my own. In shedding societal expectations and embracing vulnerability, I find freedom from the scars of childhood. Naturism invites me to reconnect with that inner child, offering a safe space where innocence, trust, and self-love can be nurtured. It’s a path to healing that lets me feel whole again, free from shame, and closer to the person I was meant to be.

Naturism, the divesting of clothes, and the discovering of things, scars, hurts, hidden. Lovely words, testament to healing. Thanks for sharing, Errin
