The Art of Editing and The Snowman PREVIEW DRAFT
🕑 Added 2020-02-28 03:03:26 +0000 UTCNow this is a story all about how...
I posted a half-complete video as a preview to Patrons of something that has proven a hurdle to complete three Januarys in a row.
I feel a bit bad that this draft is, like, really, super-obviously incomplete, but I'm going to be editing for the rest of the night to get this done for tomorrow afternoon.
As always feel free to point out anything that you catch, or parts that just make no sense.

The bad editing analysis is surprisingly educational. But could you talk about good examples more? Love what you did with the "Dubbed" in the final video
"The real question is where does Dan get his hoodies from" I wonder, diving deeper into the parasocial.

Yes! Spoopy Snowman jumpscare.
I was looking forward to a Folding Ideas treatment of beloved Raymond Briggs animation, The Snowman, and now I don't quite know how to feel.

I am really hoping in the final edit, you put the sound of you going "Bwahhhhhhhhhhhhhh" over the footage of the reveal the Snowman is a Sad/Scary Snowman.

ah, just noticed more scenes are missing - thought it was deliberately left out

Man, I *really* want to see that fakeout scene now - any chance of getting it in the final edit?

I like how you blend into the background with the color balancing

"outside of the scene in the diner [the one with the sausage thing, which you mention shortly after], the characters don't really discuss the case" --- has this scene been mentioned earlier in the script than this? I feel like it hasn't.
