Most people probably think of Bruce Campbell's voice acting when they remember the 2000 space game Tachyon: The Fringe, but what I recall most was how in multiplayer, as ships moved from sector to sector, they spawned inside the warp gate before they were actually visible/loaded - so you could sit there firing a railgun in to the center of the portal every time it started to swell up, and out would come little bits of ship debris. "Stop camping!" in a space game was something.

For what it's worth, I've been loving the smaller, more regular Patreon videos this year! It's been nice getting bite sized chunks of Dan musings to mull over every once in a while.

soo... hi, I´m really sorry to bother you... for some reason youtube is asking to sing in in order to "prove that you are not a bot", but it is impossible to do it from patreon and it´s impossible to go from the embedded video to the youtube page... it´s happening in any videos embedded from there. Could it be possible to add the link to youtube in the description? Sorry again.

The final few second with the camera slowly zooming out, Dan appearing smaller and more isolated as he desperately tries to communicate to a roomful of people turning away from him in droves, is a stunningly comedic visual.

This is cool, I almost went but I'm not enough of a gamer and I'd feel out of place. Oh also if you're ever in Seattle again there's an NFT museum downtown on First Avenue that was funny when I moved here in 2022, then sad, but now scary since it's almost certainly some kind of front for laundering money
