The next update will add weapons, traits, unique attacks for the other classes, and improved enemy AI, among other things. Until then, I hope you enjoy playing around with this update.

Damage indicator added
Enemies will now finish animations before attacking (if previously hit)
Heal is now functional (relies on Wits stat)(Nurse, Doctor, Alice)
Defend is now functional (reduces damage by 75% rounded up)
Balanced random character's stat generation (characters will now focus more on stats related to their class)
Combat now accounts for weapon damage (Weapons added next update)
Massive Combat code improvements
Removed attack description on screen (hover over the attack to see description)
Turn order moved to top off-screen (better???)
Critical Hits added to the game (6% base chance)
Attack descriptions now show potential damage
Battle Turn order optimization

Fixed target indicator for female targets being too high
Characters now faint if hp reaches 0
Fixed MC not having full health after healing at the hospital
Fixed MC not having full stamina after resting
Fixed two notifications showing when healing at the hospital with insufficient funds
You will no longer go into debt when losing a fight (besides debt collector battles)
Turn icons (top of the battle screen) should no longer contain empty images of characters
Exp gained by characters with Adept Trait now displays correctly after winning a battle
HUD stats will now update properly.
Fixed female NPC's breasts not showing (old saves)
Fixed female dress shirt (removed baked-in bra)

Mac & Android Users

Mac Users: Delete older game downloads if the game won't start. If the problem persists, move the game folder to a different file directory and try starting the game again.
Android Users: If the app doesn't start, delete the old version of the app and try again.

Hey Matt!! I would love to hear your thoughts. Is it the weapon types and unique attacks you dislike? Or is it something else? My goal is to try and give the combat more depth so that the game doesn't inevitably become dull. I was hoping to add enough diversity to the combat engine to provide me with some room to create unique combat scenarios. I feel like the shallowness of the original combat would make the mid-to-end game feel like a never-ending chore.
