Simbro ResErection Update (2023-05-03)
🕑 Added 2023-05-04 00:24:53 +0000 UTCI'm back again with another great update! We finally got Alpha 0.9 out! This version has two new outfits and hairstyles along with a base battle system and bug fixes! The Battle System is still a work in progress (Like everything else), but it's a solid foundation and a key component of the game. Right now, you can only use Attack and Power Punch, but it does the trick. The battle system also rewards experience points based on the number of enemies and their level!
Character Art
Both SkullZombie and RivRina have delivered some great outfits and hairstyles for the female model! Although they need to be fixed to work properly, they still look great! Right now, SkullZombie is working on Claudia (The female cop). I'm waiting to assign RivRina another outfit until I organize the .psd file better.
Background Art
Mamacita got back to me today with the rough colours for the Prison Cell. We will have the completed version in a couple of days. Once that is done, we are thinking about having Mamacita revisit some of the other backgrounds to create Battle friendly versions. The versions will give us a better perspective for battles and won't replace the existing art.
Animation
TheLawfulSock is hard at work getting the male model rerigged and ready for some kickass animations. As you can see (from the shitty .gif), they have finished the female model rig and even provided a little animation for us. Once the male model is finished we will move on to combining the two models for.... other animations.
Programming
As mentioned before, I've got the base done for the battle system. I'm not going to work on it too much as it is functional. Instead, I'll be working on the "naughty" menu and getting it ready for when the male model is done and we have animations for it.
Future Plans
With almost all of the base systems done, we are looking ahead to the public demo release, steam launch, and roadmap plans. Once those are released we plan on releasing more info on the plans for future updates. We want to give our supporters some real choice when it comes to what we work on. So, once the public demo is released, we will be having regular polls on Outfits, Hairstyles, Animations, and Updates. You'll finally get a voice when it comes to what we'll be working on.
Outro
Once again, thank you for all your support. We are nearing the finish line and on the brink of a new horizon. We are only here because of you and we will always be humbled by that. Till the next update, stay awesome.
