State of Sterling: Merch, ROMs, and Trash

STORE: Biggest development at the moment is the reopening of The Jimporium! Our merch store is up and running and has so far been a real success. By far the most popular shirt is our "The Gays Can Do Whatever They Want" shirt, as modeled by yours truly on this week's Jimquisition. It was designed by my enby girlfriend Phoenix and it's been ridiculously well received. So much so that it sold well above our estimates!
As of right now, that shirt is listed as sold out, but fear not if you missed it! We had another batch made up, and they should be available for purchase on August 25th. I'm sorry for the inconvenience if you've tried to get a shirt recently, we truly did not expect the shirt to be that successful. We even had extra on hand, and they still sold out, but we'll keep making them while they remain popular.
We will have another wave of merch in future, probably for the holidays. The success of the store has me excited, especially the popularity of some of our absurd meme stuff. We've had requests for an "I Chokeslam People" shirt, and I'm very into that idea. Maybe a "Now That's Punk" shirt too. We're gonna have some more unique stuff coming, for those who are looking for less traditional merchandise.
CONTENT: I've spoken in previous updates about my mental issues and how ADHD in particular has impacted my ability to work. It's still really outta control. We continue trying to find the right medication/dose to get me productive again, but I've been doing my best to ramp things back up on my own.
I've been doing more Squirty Play videos and debuted Stephanie Sterling's Heaving Toy Chest, both of which have been welcomed by the regular viewers, so that's fantastic.
Jimpressions, for some reason, are more difficult to get into despite being some of the easier videos from a creative standpoint. Disillusionment with the industry might have something to do with it, but I'm not entirely sure.
In any case, I did manage to squeak out a Samurai Warriors 5 video this week, and I'd like to keep it up. I've wanted to do a video on Scarlet Nexus, I even have the footage. It's just a case of getting my brain in gear. This is a brain that can put off a five minute job for months, and I seem to have little control over it yet. But I am trying.
Also, I debut a new hat this Monday. Commissioned it a long time ago and it's worth the wait. You are NOT ready.
PERSONAL: Outside of happily succumbing to Phee's wooing (you will know them if you watch my livestreams, they're practically a co-host), there's not been a whole ton of other stuff going on. Recently had a COVID scare, as two people at a wrestling event tested positive. Despite being vaccinated, I got a test just to be safe (the vax isn't total protection), and am clear. So that's good.
Been playing loads on my Anbernic handheld, full of games I totally own physically (I don't), and it's pretty fucking awesome. Even has vibration for games like Silent Hill. I've argued in favor of ROMs in the past, despite it being considered taboo among much of games media. Sorry, but nobody who worked on it is gonna miss out if I don't buy a copy of Alien 3 for the Sega Genesis. In the case of currently sold stuff, they should stop charging upwards of $5 for ROMs on official storefronts when anybody can get them easily for free. Piracy is a service problem, folks!
And remember, you can't steal from a corporation. It's called reclamation!
My Gendertrash journey is going well. I cannot recommend estrogen enough. My skin feels unreal! Still waiting for my natural hair to get where I want it to be, but if you see me in my wrestling mask you can see the curly mop sprawling out at the back. I continue to be delighted at finally unlocking a sense of style and getting some damn powerful outfits together.
Weight loss continues, and I am still trying to be mindful of indirect fat shaming while remaining proud of hitting personal goals. I want to stress again that there are many reasons to be fat, and that fat pride is valid, but in the case of those unhappy with their weight, it is a symptom.
I did not want to be as big as I was, but I was not planning on sticking around long until transition saved my life. This is why I share comparison shots of me a year ago and me now. I'm becoming the person I've always wanted to look like, always wanted to feel like, and most importantly I'm becoming the person I've always wanted to be. I am proud of becoming me.
WRESTLING: Just a quick update on the ol' wrestles! On August, Friday 13th, I will be in Seven Valleys, PA to compete for the SWO tag titles! On August 28th at 6pm ET, it is the PolyAm Cult Party Woodstock in update NY. Like last time, this will be streamed live at twitch.tv/jimsterling! Ryse Wrestling returns yet again on September 11th, and I'll be sure to keep y'all updated on the Commander's plans... and Regency.

Everyone I know who is antivax has tested positive recently. Who could have predicted?! I'm hesitant to point the finger at them for "consuming resources" in an artificially-induced scarcity economy, as though health were a moral obligation. (Safety, however, is. Plz avoid spreading the plague.)

Cooking for myself and light exercise (I walk and lift weights) were big helps. It's the boring but effective One Punch Man routine.

Hi Steph, I struggled with ADHD and depression for a long time and didn’t find medications helpful. But what I find incredibly helpful is very intense aerobic exercise, things like rowing, biking or using the elliptical to keep my heart rate up for a good 20 minutes or so. It flushes my brain of all the unwanted thoughts and gives me so much more mental control to focus after I do it. I really recommend it! I’ve been a fan for a long time, I’m so happy and proud of you!
I've been following you and your content for years now, Jim Steph, and it's amazing to see your're doing so well for yourself after transitioning, despite all the challenges you still face. But I'm sure you're up to them, too. It's really palpable how much happier you are, looking so much healthier, brighter and more fabulous, and that makes me really happy for you too. As long as you're vaccinated, catching covid is no big deal. Less than a 10th of a percent of vaccinated people are even ending up in hospitals. The only exception is if you have a kid like I do that can't get vaccinated, though their chance of a serious illness isn't much worse. The vast majority of people suffering covid right now are the unvaccinated. Though they are probably consuming precious (and massively overpriced) medical resources from responsible people like us.
So glad you've been doing better than ever Steph! Keep up the great effort~ Hopefully you can resolve your mental health soon. I can understand how punishing that must be when you do want to get back to business and live a normal life. I'm sure you can do it Steph~ and lastly, thank you for all the greatness you've done over the years~you are awesome! ~vee

Am looking forward to see what occurs. I bought pins, cause as much as I love the Gay can do anything shirt. I live in Texas so it one was tempted on. Though do not want hate. Though Now that is punk probably because of that. I love how you use it and what Justin did to do it. Is quite good so would enjoy that as a shirt and a pin. I wore my The Gays Can Do Whatever They Want shirt out yesterday and got an immediate compliment on it. :D If there's ever a market for a tank top of version of any of the shirts, count me in - particularly when it's so hot out, I basically live in the things.

Thank you! I'll keep doing my best! In terms of fat shaming, it's mostly that I don't wanna present my weight loss as me becoming the ideal shape. In fact, I hate the term "in shape" because we're all different shapes. I just don't want my personal pride to be in spite of anybody, to send the message that what I am doing is the objectively right thing to do rather than a personal point of happiness.

Keep kicking ass, JSS. Sucks to hear that you haven't found the right balances in a few aspects yet, but you're grinding it out, and that's what's important. When you say "indirect fat shaming," are you referring to others' statements, or statements your own brain is telling you? I've got a case of the latter, and I insult myself constantly. If you ever have tips for that on any of your videos, I'd be down to hear it. I can't get my own brain to shut the fuck up usually.

This is a delight to read, it's so nice to see some *good* news. I hear you on the weight loss thing. After multiple disc hernias resulted in a steel cage being drilled into my spine I kinda *have* to get lighter to ease the burden on my squishy bits, lest they squish again. Fat shaming bad, but personal goals great. You're practically *glowing* at this stage, you look so comfortable with yourself. Long may it continue.
