Blasphemous - Deliciously Macabre Misery (Jimpressions)
🕑 Added 2019-09-10 13:10:56 +0000 UTCBlasphemous had my attention way back when it was a hopeful Kickstarter project nobody had heard of. Now it's finally here, and it was worth the wait.
Challenging, beautiful, and exquisitely mournful, Blasphemous flavors its methodical pacing with a little influence from Dark Souls and Metroidvanias, while maintaining its own unique voice.
From gorgeous visuals to magnificent boss encounters and evocative themes of religion and punishment, Blasphemous is well worth checking out.
NOTE: Snagged an early copy of this one, and I also backed it way back when.

Very cool-looking game. Might give this one a try.

Got to play this at a pal's place for a few hours. This game is a serious breath of fresh air!

Man, the enemy designs. The enemy designs! This looks right up my street Jim. I'm pretty sure I sent this games kickstarter a few pounds back when you mentioned it on the channel. When I get next paid I'll definitely be buying this.

Perfect timing. Just finished Bloodstained and hungry for more solid metroidvania action. Curious to see if both of those games earn Prestigious Jimquisition Awards (tm) this year.
