Yeah, the actions of immature morons has ruined the entire purpose of the review status on Steam. There are VERY good games on there that get destroyed due to misinformation and/or complete lies by the idiots out there.

User reviews, like comment sections, were started with the best of intentions, but I feel like have been rendered almost entirely useless thanks to a total lack of moderation or acknowledgement of bad faith actors.
