Laura, thanks for saying what you did about the patriotism in the USA. I've caught a lot of flack from some of my relatives for pointing out that kids don't understand what pledging allegiance means yet they're expected to do it. (They re-posted an old cartoon on FB from the 50s so it had all white kids to boot!) It's close to a religion as if saying something bad about the USA is somehow heresy or a personal attack, especially if that bad thing winds up being true. If you try pointing out that the country is fucked up you get attacked as a traitor, often by the people who are doing the fucking.
Honestly, Jim it is not worth getting excited about. Anime is full of this stupid stuff. Ero is just a joke in Japanese culture. Being a pervert is a joke.
