I didn't realize at first that the 8-4 play guys didn't handle the red ash KS campaign like they did for MN9, but honestly all the signs were there. everything about it just felt different and really, really wrong. it did feel like arrogance.

Jim, what the hell was that trailer you played at the end? I need a video on that. I NEED IT.
I think some devs are scared that transparency in their kickstarters will result in a lack of funding. If people see that a developer is already working towards getting funds by other means, they may feel their money isn't worth putting towards it as it's 'coming out anyway'. That said, the backlash when your supporters find out probably isn't worth the extra hassle in the long run. Being upfront about where their money is going and what their other potential sources are is ultimately going to be the better option. Also, wtf is with that game trailer at the end. Is Konami doing hentai now?
