Mini-Episode 04 - A Working Definition of Fascism
🕑 Added 2022-09-29 17:46:57 +0000 UTCI am firmly committed to keep History on Fire away from the cesspool that is modern politics. However, certain words with a specific historical meaning are thrown around rather carelessly in modern discussions: fascist, communist, socialist, etc. In an effort to use language properly, in this mini-episode I list some of the key policies supported by Fascism. The idea is that actual policies may provide evidence to decide whether a movement or a person fits or doesn’t fit the label.

I haven't seen the show. I've heard about it, of course, but didn't get to see it

After listening to this I wonder if there are any conversations out there of you expressing a commentary on The Handmaid's Tale series? I looked but can't find any but it doesn't mean they don't exist! It's a bit of a sidebar but it is where my brain took me. As always, ty!
