End of October Progress Report
🕑 Added 2023-11-04 00:48:51 +0000 UTCHello Earthlings! I hope your October was sufficiently spooky :) Halloween is always a mixed bag for Kiera... she thinks it's really fun, but gets scared easily... and when she gets scared, well- let's just say she's been stuck in diapers all month! Whoops! :P
Before the report, I just wanna say thank you so much for being here!! I super appreciate your continued support for the game, and hope that you'll have fun with the next updates. You rock!!
NOW as for what I've been working on- it's been a lot of the same as the previous report! I am trying to stay more focused on a select few things, so that there aren't a bajillion unfinished ideas scattered around the daycare. It's... kiiiinda working so far, at least! :P
STROLLER SKILL. Miss Laura's stroller skill is really coming along! You can now push Kiera around the daycare in her stroller. I've started working on an accident system for when she's struck in the stroller.. no amount of squirming can really communicate your need to go potty when you're strapped into your stroller with a pacifier stuffed in your mouth! ;)
BABY BOUNCER. I've made progress with the Baby Bouncer sprites! While it may be embarrassing for Kiera to sit in the bouncer, walking is a LOT of work, so I'm sure she'll eventually come around and see how helpful her bouncer is.. And it's certainly better than crawling!
ADVENTURES. I've been working on all the playpen Littles' adventures! I'm enjoying getting to mix plot progression with silly diaper stuff. I'm excited to share more of the daycare's secrets with you as things unravel! You'll get to find out more about the mysterious door, meet the previous Secret Agent, and track down important members of the mafia!
DOLLY KIERA SPRITES. Making differently-sized sprites work with the game has been a fun challenge lately! Firstly with Miss Laura's stroller sprites, and now with a doll-i-fied Kiera! What's that? Doll-i-fied Kiera? Yes, this is planned to be one of the "bad" ends, as well as a temporary route in the game, depending on your choices. I don't think Dolly Kiera will make it into the game for the January 1 version, because it will take quite a bit of Adventuring to get there.. but I've been working on integrating spritework, pathing, and collision for Dolly Kiera. (Maybe this is kind of a spoiler, but with Billie in the game, I didn't think Dolly Kiera would be a huge surprise :P )
SIMULTANEOUS WETTING & MESSING. Most of Kiera's accidents are limited to either wetting or messing. I am implementing a chance for her to do both!
BUGS. As always, I'm fixing more bugs. Had help finding some to do with the save system that will be fixed in the next version.
