Update: Marcia & improved hairstyles are coming!

There is a slight delay for the trailer for the SA-Game (PC), but we will have it next week for sure! And it will be done by BonkersMV, so it will definitely rock :)
While we are working on the trailer, I also continued with Marcia!
I finished her Body & Face, but I don´t want to show her just yet because: her Hair is still missing! The screenshots are from Brittany!
I am tired of trying to find people that can create proper hairstyles for games and don´t charge a fortune (1.500$ for 1 hairstyle is a bit intense, and that's on the lower end...).
So I started to learn how to create hair in Maya with xGen. That's a hair/fur/general geometry distribution tool that comes with Maya. Long story short: It looks good and I have high hopes on creating really nice looking hairstyles! And also variations! If I am not dependant on others to do that, it means we can finally have a greater variety and better looking hair, in the future. Because hair is still very niché in the 3D industry. There are not a lot of people that can do that. And it's freaking hard to do! I have to learn a lot still, but I think it´s going in the right direction.
Attached are a couple of Screenshots of the current hairstyle from Brittany. This is NOT how the hair will look like later! I have to convert it to so called "Hair-Cards" and then apply a texture with transparency.
Here is a screenshot of the old hair so you get a better idea what hair cards are:
So the look will be different. But the big advantage is: I can create hairstyles and then derive realtime-hair from that :)
This learning process, and having a final result, will definitely take some time, but I keep you posted of course! And as soon as I have a proper workflow and can give Marcia nice hair, we will give you a proper introduction ;)

Oh, I DEFINITELY want to have open hair options for both Trinity and Brittany! That's one of the things that I have been looking forward to have since... Forever :) So yes, that is on the top of my Hair-To-Do list :)

While we wait for possible future hairstyles, how difficult would it be to permit Brittany and Trinity sharing their hair with appropriate colour swaps? Brittany is my fav, but I'd love to see hir sporting something without the bun. I suspect shi'd be a pretty cute blond with a ponytail.
