Man that main event finish really bothered me. The video package, the history, the build, everything. 25 years of story, and the finish of that ‘one last time’ feud with decades of history was done with a running gag. Cena can cheat to win, that’s fine, but Truth coming out to continue this recurring bit in a match with this much behind it, really bothered me. It felt like a kick in the dick for my investment in a match for a definitive conclusion. There’s a million other ways they could’ve set up the Truth/Cena match, they didn’t have to have it interfere with the significance of the Randy/Cena match.
