I don’t think Cody is going heel. Not anytime soon. If he refused to do it in AEW when he was getting booed, I doubt he’ll do it in WWE while still being cheered and the top champ and face of the company. He loves doing the PR and shaking the hands and all that too much. If he does ever go heel again, I think it would be a couple more years off. But who knows?

Prior to Raw last night, I really thought we were going to end up with Cody vs Sami at Elimination Chamber, with the KO turn during that match, setting up Cody vs Jey at Mania and solidifying Cody's heel turn in the process. It would have set up the much talked about Cody vs Orton feud with Orton as the babyface for SummerSlam or something. We'll have to see where they actually go with this, seems strange to give away Gunther vs Jey right before the Rumble then immediately run that feud back for the Road to WrestleMania

Agreed the women’s rumble was not my cup of tea and Charlotte being back let alone winning the whole thing gives me the ick. While I did not see Jey winning I loved the final 3 matchups (logan paul get effed) Overall good show looking forward to elimination chamber

I thought that, seemed like entitled , he’s always believed in earning opportunities but for the first time he’s using his control and power to give himself opportunities. Problem is you can’t turn him and Cody at the same time really cos that much is inevitable at mania or not

I do have to wonder. With Cena's declaration in the post show presser of: I'm going to be in the Chamber match... Is there a chance he goes heel? Like, the longer he goes without winning the title, the more desperate he becomes. Similar to Adam's booking of his final run, that promo did have a whiff of it. In my opinion at least.

I love how the Men's Rumble ended. It feels like Jay needs a Rumble win to get over that last hurdle before he is crowned world champion. Plus Cena's story isn't interesting if he just wins the Rumble and goes to Mania. Also, am I the only one who suspects a Cena heel turn? He teased it at the end of the Rumble when he almost attacked Jay after the match. Then in his post show press conference he talked about how he is owed the main event at Wrestlemainia and that its just best for business. It may not actually happen, but I belive both Cody and Cena are testing heel turns and WWE is letting the fans decide who turns heel for Mania. Cena cheating to beat Cody and the record sounds pretty exciting if you ask me.

I wish I could agree with you when it comes to Jey, but we’ve seen him v Gunther so many times already and they’ve never been above 3 stars. Gunther is such a talent and unless they get the belt off him before Mania this feels like such a waste to me.

Can confirm the first fall in DiY v MCMG was not noticed by the crowd, about half of the crowd left and most people were too far away to tell what had happened, so the reaction was just “A fall? that early? wtf?”

My God, I just popped big time for the way you said "What just happened". Got the 2015 vibes again. Anyways, I am also not that excited to see Jey vs Gunther at Wrestlemania, but I will say this. Jey Uso is the only genuinely surprising Royal Rumble winner of all time. If not that, at least since the mid-90s or something

Great job on the editing and pacing of the video. Fantastic video as always. A royal rumble where there were so many possible winners and it still being a surprise? I liked it, it would’ve been better if Logan wasn’t in the final three though since I didn’t buy him winning it for a single moment

The only concern I have is, they have to book Jey and Gunther like a big deal. They must in order to actually elevate Jey, otherwise it’ll just be “he went for the, obviously, second most important title”. Aside from that worrisome possibility, everything else was aces for me. Can’t wait to see the Seth-Roman-Punk-Cody drama.

I thought the Rumble was as damn near perfect. As soon as CM Punk got eliminated I KNEW it was going to be as unpredictable as I wanted it to be (WHICH IS THE POINT OF THE RUMBLE FYFI) ps. I was stoned to the bone during the whole thing so that definitely played a part in it, but I’M STILL AN EXEMPLARY EMPLOYEE pls don’t fire me.

As someone with a lot of younger relatives IShowSpeed seems like a genuinely decent dude. Just found himself in a bad crowd of influencers. At the very least he's better than a lot of the influences for young men than the past ones in the last two years. Jey was the right choice. An actual suprise winner. Someone who's over like rover with the crowd. Someone who can act his ass of. Someone who's career trajectory is unique to him. Excellent choice. Charlotte... OK.
