Also, we first saw the slogi back in chapter 2.3, but Zidaun didn't think much about them, since he knew what they were and just thought of them as a convenient way to travel.
Also, they are just freaking adorable.

They are extremely adorable. However, I want to say that I disagree with Caden's assessment in the last chapter that their eyes aren't cartoonishly large. If you compare it to a picture of a brown bear, the eyes are like 4 times the size lol. Also, they must have some pretty intense adaptations to compensate for the sheer amount of light that would be hitting their retinas. I'm thinking advanced self-repair combined with a kind of natural tint, as though they had built-in sunglasses.

All I can think of is the little girl from Despicable Me "IT'S SO FLUFFY!" I've always loved fantasy creatures that aren't just two animals blatantly smashed together but instead look like they could have been walking around Earth if different evolutionary lines had survived.
