Honestly my only question is, how did they even plan on moving him pre-last coin. I'm pretty sure getting him out of there was impossible 5 mountains of gold ago, much less so just before critical mass. Aside from that they may want to run. Gold, while very malleable, is still dangerous when propelled at high speeds from what I can only call an improvised explosive.
