May Scene WIP Files

Thank you for your patience during the delay getting this scene to you all.
I am almost there in terms of content, piecing it all together has been a bit of a nightmare, again I have suffered from feature creep and the "too much" gene and packed the scene so full it becomes a nightmare to work on.
The speed in which I have put this all together however I am REALLY happy with and with a couple of refinements can see myself being able to put out 2 major scenes a month moving forward, maybe more with more backers coming on board. (more backers = less other work I need to do).
Anyways the scene:
* There are buttons to drive the narrative, however on the front door step if not in VR you will need to move the guys hand manually (i'm adding button options for pancake players).
* In VR, the idea is to not Possess at all (because it breaks a lot of physics settings) you will see pose changes (eg. man raises hand) which is the cue for you to take control of the hand. I would suggest you grab the hands with the "click and hold" (default trigger on rift) button on your controller as the other button overrides the finger morphs and also physics settings.
* I will let you explore what is there, however if you want to see more WIP content (there are over 256 poses in this scene! you can toggle the "Debug" menu which is positioned behind the dude and is a RED = symbol.
There are a lot of poses in this menu and you can turn on some BJ and thrust controls, the final scene will have a "freeplay" section at the end where you will be able to make your own poses and settings, which i'll explain when it comes together.
Installation:
* Copy contents to your VAM folder.
note: the pose presets do not package in the .VAR so I have had to keep them seperate to install in your presets folder. They are ALL labelled with WVRX should you want to remove them later.
I have tested the VAR and works on my system, and a clean install I have on another drive, but as with the purpose of the WIP scenes "THERE WILL BE BUGS"
The scene has a couple of different pathways depending on your actions (nothing ground shaking) and the fucking scene is not in the story pathway, however you can click on the "scene 4" button in the debug menu and activate and run the "fuck" labelled animation patterns if you have the know how.
Next steps for this scene is to clean up the story, add some more narrative copy, a few buttons and tidy up everything before release.

Hi Mirko, Thank you so much for your suggestions. If you read some of my latest posts you will see that I agree with you 100%. I have been trying to push the absolute boundaries of what VAM can do and end up with a product that is super complicated and prone to bugs, and almost impossible to work on towards the end of the development cycle. So mantra moving forward is to keep scenes accessable, simple but HIGHLY detailed. The new half life game has taught me the the beauty of VR is to push immersion, not add features. I really like TGC, we talk and compare notes often. You can Unpack .vars with Winrar, it's free to download. There will still be load times but .var's multiply it significantly unpacking sound files.

Hello Wade really nice ideas and implementation and i can only imagine how much hard work and hours went into the scene. I hope this doesnt come of the wrong way, it is supposed to be constructive and i really apreciate the work you are putting into vam and see a bright future. However the scene i liked the most from you was the "breathe" scene from last year. Maybe its just me but vam is already a really complex program (not your fault) and scenes that require to be figured out and are very complex for me just add to the confusion. Im never sure if there was an error or a glitch or it is supposed not not work sometimes. What im trying to say is i would really like to try the 256 poses that are in the scene but there just isnt an easy way to get to them. Ideas would be: -release scenes in smaller increments ("breathe" is a nice example) -please dont let the user figure too many things out --> visible Menu buttons and multiple controls are really important -maybe check the work tgc is doing with virtual sweethart (different direction but really nice scene with multiple options) What you are doing is incredible work and i just want to make it easier for people to experience these scenes. I know that your personal style of creating scenes is about experimentation but i hope that maybe some easy to use scenes are also possible. Also im really really looking forward to the 2b scene (hopefully involving mcgrubers secret room) and hope that more and more paying patreons are coming your way. (Also quick stupid question: How to unpack the var so the long loading time goes away?)

hey thanks for the comment. i noticed this also, its the unpacking process with the .var. you can unpack the scene it speed it up.

check out the post. there is a "Debug menu behind you (Red '=') you, go to scene four and activate and run the 'hand to fuck' and 'fuck' animation patterns. Dont stress if you can figure it out, the 4th scene I am working out the interface for at the moment, I just didnt want to leave you guys hanging.

hey thanks for this. After the handjob scene early on I get a thought bubble commenting on supporting wadevrx to see more and cannot seem to progress the scene beyond that. What should I do?
