There is always a backstory to these demons that is sad.

Gyutaro takes protecting his little sister so seriously that he literally handicaps himself in battle, giving up one of his eyes so he can keep watch over her fight as well.

The burning butterfly is very symbolic while Daki gives her speech about women being merchandise. When Nezuko burned her, she cried out “just like that day” and later grew furious, begging her brother to kill the ones who burned her. Finally, as she speaks about women being bought, sold, and discarded, we see a butterfly on fire, visually tying her words and what one might piece together as trauma together.

We are definitely seeing more cliffhangers.

The 3rd wife was the one who poisoned herself to be sent to a location to be treated, in order to get away from the demon who had found her out.
