After six long months of confinement, it was finally time for Rachel to resume her normal activities. Her doctor had requested she see him for one last check-up, so he could give her the all clear. It was a bittersweet moment as she prepared for her first venture outside her home. Anxiety mixed with anticipation as she stood in front of her closet, searching for something suitable to wear.
Turning to the mirror, Rachel took in her reflection. Her soft belly protruded well over her waistband.. The once-defined lines of her abs were now obscured by layers of softness. Her thighs, once toned and sculpted, now rubbed together as she walked, a constant reminder of her weight gain.
Rachel couldn't help but notice the changes in her face as well. Her cheeks had plumped up, and her double chin had become more prominent. Even her once-slender neck had lost its definition. The sight was a harsh reality check, making her realize just how much her body had transformed.
With a sigh, Rachel reached for a loose-fitting summer dress, hoping it would hide the changes in her body. As she pulled it over her head, she could feel the fabric straining against her plump arms and broadened shoulders. The dress, once effortlessly flowing, now clung to her enlarged breasts, emphasizing their newfound fullness.
Rachel stood in front of the mirror, her eyes widening at the reflection staring back at her. She hardly recognised herself. The dress clung to her body in all the wrong places. Her once slender waist had disappeared, replaced by a soft, round belly that stretched what was once loose fabric taut. The sight was both startling and humbling. The dress didn’t even cover her entire belly, leaving her plump thighs and juicy ass for all to see. She pulled the dress back off over her.
Rachel's eyes fell upon an old loose adjustable skirt tucked away in the back of her closet. The skirt had an elastic waistband with adjustable buttons that allowed for a customized fit. She had bought it for when she would fast for competitions, as her waist would become too thin for her clothes. With a flicker of hope, she retrieved it and held it up against her fuller frame.
Rachel stepped into the skirt and pulled it up, but to her dismay, it barely made it past her thighs. She struggled to fasten the buttons, feeling the strain on the fabric as she tried to squeeze her wider hips into the once-generous fit. She worked her way up the buttons, each tighter than the last, until finally, she managed to get them all done up. She couldn’t help but let out a relieved smile. Her celebration was premature however, because as she released her tummy from its compressed state, the buttons popped off one by one with a forceful snap. The skirt was unable to withstand the pressure of her expanded waistline.
Frustration washed over her as she realized that even a garment designed to accommodate weight fluctuations was no match for the changes her body had undergone. The once-loose skirt now clung to her like a second skin, highlighting the softness of her belly and the widening of her hips. She could hardly believe how small it was now.
Finally, only one article of clothing was left. A pair of old jeans, much larger than her other clothing. She didn’t recognise these jeans, quickly realising they were a pair a friend of hers had left after a sleepover many years ago. She pulled them around her thick thighs, struggling to shimmy into them. The now familiar tug of the fabric over her hips now felt like an insurmountable barrier. She wrestled with the tight material, huffing and puffing from the exertion.
Finally, after trying for minutes, with a victorious gasp, Rachel managed to pull the jeans up, zip the zipper, and fasten the button. She slowly and carefully let her breath out, and miraculously, the button held.
Rachel fell back onto her bed, her breath labored from the exertion of simply getting dressed. Her bed gave a concerning creak as it struggled to support her inflated weight. Her reflection in the mirror mocked her, a constant reminder of her physical transformation and the consequences of her unhealthy habits. There was no doubting it, she was fat.
Rachel sat on the edge of her bed, her heart heavy with a mix of self-consciousness and curiosity. She couldn't ignore the changes that had occurred during the past six months of her sedentary lifestyle. The weight she had gained had transformed her once-toned physique into a soft and plump form.

Rachel's eyes dropped to her lap, where her plump thighs pressed together. They were no longer the slender and toned limbs she had once been proud of. Instead, they were round and full, bearing the evidence of her indulgence. The gentle curve of her belly had turned into a soft mound that protruded slightly, hinting at the weight she had gained. Her once-narrow waist had lost its definition, blending seamlessly into her widened hips.
Rachel glanced at the time. She had spent so long getting dressed she hadn’t noticed that she was meant to have left for her appointment five minutes ago. She quickly threw on a ill-fitting, small white top that left her whole gut exposed, grabbed her keys, and ran (well, speed walked would be more accurate) to her car.

Rachel sat in the crowded waiting room, her heart pounding in her chest. She was acutely aware of the tightness of her jeans hugging her plump thighs and the white top that accentuated her exposed midriff. Self-conscious thoughts swirled in her mind, wondering if people were staring at her, judging her for her expanded figure.
As she scanned the room, her eyes met those of a little girl sitting nearby with her mother. Rachel could sense curiosity in the girl's gaze, and then came the innocent question that pierced through the air like a dagger. "Mommy, is she pregnant?" the girl whispered loudly enough for Rachel to hear.
The mother's face flushed with embarrassment as she hushed her daughter, her voice filled with an apologetic tone. "Shh, sweetheart, lower your voice. It's not polite to ask that"
Rachel's cheeks flushed with a mix of humiliation and hurt. She shifted uncomfortably in her seat, feeling the weight of the girl's innocent observation. It was a painful reminder of the changes her body had undergone, changes that had made her feel self-conscious and out of place.
Taking a deep breath, Rachel redirected her attention to the magazine in her lap, attempting to distract herself from the lingering discomfort. She tried to focus on the articles, but her mind wandered, grappling with conflicting emotions. She had come to the doctor for a check-up, hoping for validation that her body was healing, but now all she could think about was her expanded figure and the judgments of others.

Dr. Thompson nodded. "Alright, let's have a look at it then." He motioned for her to sit on the examination table and rolled a stool closer to inspect her leg.
As Dr. Thompson examined her leg, Rachel's mind raced with thoughts of her weight gain, causing her to anxiously fidget with her fingers. She desperately hoped he wouldn't bring up the subject, fearing the embarrassment and judgment that would come with it.
The doctor focused solely on her leg, not probing for any additional information. Rachel let out a silent sigh of relief, grateful that he seemed more concerned with her injury than her appearance.
After a thorough examination, Dr. Thompson began typing up notes on his computer. As Dr. Thompson paused, his eyes flickered over to Rachel's file, his expression briefly reflecting surprise.
Dr. Thompson hesitated for a moment before continuing. "Rachel, we have you listed here as 113 pounds, do you know when this measurement was taken?”
Rachel stuttered. “I-it would have been 6 months ago, or so” She knew it was 6 months, almost exactly.
“Can you confirm your current weight for me?" Inquired the doctor.
Rachel's heart raced, and she felt a lump form in her throat. She glanced at the scale nearby, hoping she could avoid facing the truth. "Um, I... I'm not entirely sure. I haven't weighed myself recently."
Dr. Thompson nodded, understanding her unease. "That's alright. We can check your weight today, just to have an up to date record. It's a routine procedure."
Rachel took a deep breath, her heart pounding with nervous anticipation, as she approached the scale. The metallic surface looked cold and unforgiving beneath her feet. With hesitant steps, she climbed on, feeling the weight shift beneath her.
Her eyes traced the curve of her round belly, which protruded prominently in front of her. It felt soft and heavy, its weight serving as a constant reminder of her struggles. She had grown accustomed to its presence, but now, as she tried to read the scale, she had to peek past her belly to see the numbers clearly.
She let her gaze fall downward, her eyes fixated on the digital display. The numbers slowly blinked into focus. 1... 9... 6. Her heart sank, and a lump formed in her throat.
The reality of her weight gain hit her like a wave crashing over her. A mixture of emotions swirled within her—shame, regret, and a hint of disbelief. How had she allowed herself to reach this point? The weight seemed to hang heavy on her frame, both physically and emotionally.
Dr. Thompson took a deep breath and continued with a professional yet concerned tone. "Rachel, it appears that you have experienced a significant weight gain since your last visit. A gain of 83 pounds is quite substantial. Can you tell me what might have contributed to this change?"
Rachel's cheeks flushed with embarrassment, her voice barely above a whisper. "I... I've had some difficulties with my mobility due to my leg injury. It's been hard to stay active and maintain my usual exercise routine. I guess I turned to food for comfort and... well, I didn't realize how much weight I had gained."
"Well, considering the significant weight you’ve gained in a short period, I would like to perform some additional tests to get an understanding of your current health status. These tests will help us identify any potential underlying conditions. Are you comfortable with that?"
The concern in his voice worried Rachel, and she agreed.
Dr. Thompson proceeded to perform additional tests to assess Rachel's overall health and determine the extent of the changes that had occurred. He wrapped a cuff around her arm to measure her blood pressure, and his expression became more concerned as he observed the readings. The numbers were higher than he would have liked. At 137 over 86, Rachel was at risk of Hypertension. He made a note of the results.
Next, the doctor requested blood samples to test Rachel's cholesterol and insulin levels.Rachel complied, albeit with a slight unease. Dr. Thompson assured Rachel that the samples would be sent for analysis, and the results would provide valuable insights for her ongoing care. He emphasized the importance of understanding her body's response to the changes she had experienced.
As the tests concluded, Dr. Thompson moved on to the final part of the examination. He requested to listen to Rachel's heart, not only to check its rhythm and function but also to ensure that it had adapted to the alterations in her body.
Dr. Thompson instructed Rachel to take a deep breath, and she complied, inhaling slowly and deeply. As she did so, she felt the waistband of her snug jeans loosen.
Dr. Thompson then asked Rachel to breathe out slowly, and she obliged, releasing the air from her lungs. As she exhaled her plump midsection began to push against her clothes, straining the button on her shorts. It reached its limit, unable to withstand the pressure any longer, and with an audible pop, it surrendered. Rachel’s face turned bright pink.
As Rachel sat there, her pants button popped off and a tinge of shame still lingering, Dr. Thompson knew it was time for a direct and concise conversation about her lifestyle. He could see the mix of emotions on her face, and he wanted to offer guidance despite the time constraint.
Dr. Thompson started, "Rachel, we need to address the changes we've observed in your health. Your blood pressure alone is cause for serious concern.”
Rachel nodded, understanding the urgency of the situation.
"You need to focus on improving your diet by prioritizing nutritious, whole foods. Incorporate more fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains into your meals."
He continued. "Physical activity is crucial too. It might be hard due to your… new size… but I want you to try get back into your old habits. Start slow.”
"Lastly, I want to emphasize the importance of self-care and self-compassion. Remember that this is a journey, and progress takes time. Don’t be too hard on yourself, and don’t punish yourself too hard for ‘cheat days’. Focus on the end goal."
Rachel thanked the doctor for his advice, and made her walk of shame through the waiting room, with her shorts undone and her inflated belly on full display.
