Operation Fidelio Vol. 4
🕑 Added 2025-10-17 05:19:22 +0000 UTCWelp, there you have it. That's our story, Vero and Iggy are dead. Good night!.
...
Anyway.
I write this as a defeated man as by now I have resigned myself knowing that, while I still can make it on time, I'll probably be posting this whole thing past Halloween and Into November. Because yes, fear not, there will be another, hopefully last update to this story.
But how's that for a cliffhanger eh?
At this point of the story a bunch of the pictures will not need a text next to them, as by now what I'm doing is basically a storyboard. But to go one by one.
Picture 1
Flavio and Max hurry to attack Veronica. She evades them and uses her weapon to injure Max’s arm.
…
This picture is actually the last one I made like 20 mins ago. I like that now with this all the vampires have at least 1 picture of them fighting in beast mode. And that's why I made it. Originally we just jumped to Arsene while Ver fought off screen and we wouldn't get to see Max transformation in colour. And that'd be a shame.
Picture 2
As Vero and his vampires fight, Arsene is in no hurry to go with them.
…
As the fight happens upstairs we cut to Arsene Aura farming a bit. To give the impression the fight lasted a good while. I did had some troubles with this angle, I'm not completely happy with how it came out so I may do some fixes to this one later. but on the other hand, maybe I won't...

…
…
Continuing the fight between Vero and Flavio. It was while making this that it clicked for me the solution for the right amount of blood problem that I had mentioned before. And the idea I came up with is that I can have as much as I want here (And I didn't even want a lot to be fair) because the lighting of the dance floor simulates it pretty well. The drops in the air specifically are blood diluted in holy water.
The concept for this composition I took directly from a copuple of shots during the Gon vs Hisoka fight in the 1999 Huntex X Hunter anime. An homage if you will. Though there the drops are sweat and not blood but hey! These are Vampires!.
Picture 4
…
…
Arsene arrives where the fight is basically ending. We see that Max stepped a side after her injury.
Picture 5
…
…
A defeated Flavio about to hit the floor.
Picture 6-7
The Host sees his oldest and more trusted servant hit the floor defeated and then he sees the culprit.
…
Picture 8-9
At first, Vero doesn't even flinch. But she notices something.
…
Picture 10
She can feel how the holy water of her weapon has dried up and diluted.
…
Picture 11
-Iggy!
…
Picture 12
-Flask!
…
Picture 13
Ignacio quickly throws the flask with what little of the holy water is left at her hoping it’ll be enough.
…
Picture 14
Before they notice the flask is already in the host's hand.
…
A thing I feel I might add later though I don't know how without breaking the rhythm of the story (as I'm doing now for example) is an explanation of how he grabbed the flask. Even though he's a vampire and I'm inclined to say he has “The World” what I think happened is that he used some kind of hypnosis so they would freeze and didn't notice him moving. He actually took the flask from Vero's hand or maybe even the floor.
Picture 15
…
…
Another thing they wouldn't notice is Mask running towards Ignacio.
Picture 16
…
…
Picture 17
Max pins down Ignacio against the floor.
…
Picture 18-19
…
…
And Arsene has Vero against the wall.
I think this is the first time we see some of Arsene’s “bloodlust form” so far and I really like how it came up so far. Maybe it's just me but I feel he does give a Nosferatu-esque vibe there.
I'd like to mention once again that I originally just wanted to draw Vero and Iggy on fancy clothes fighting a vampire and I thought this project would be like 5 pictures but here we are lmao. I guess deep down I really wanted to do a long story with the Whisperers.
Which makes it kind of weird that it is mainly only two of them. But that's how things happen often. As in “they just happen”
I'm not complaining at all of course. I just think it's funny.
I always thought the first long adventure of the whisperers would be a Nicole and Ignacio one as I've had the idea for a “pilot episode” with them for a while. I guess that could be the next one as an origin story or something.
There's also other stories I wanna get into eventually, like the Lucy or The Saint’s arc. Also the noodle who, behind the scenes is a creature that I saw between the waves on acid for exactly half a second. But I needed to draw them lmao.
Anyway…
Wow! How will our heroes survive this? Find it out in the next episode!
But before that I have to actually finish that WDC Halloween picture lmao.

Vero and Iggy's theme song right about now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2c4hnA8jXwo Damn things went south really fast! Tho they still fared surprisingly well for pair of mere mortals with limited undead slaying supplies trapped in a house of super powerful vampires and even managed to get some good licks in. It definitely seems like an impossible situation since something like Nicole and Ian and the doll pulling off a rescue would probably just be a contrived cop out, but at the same time we all know the heroes aren't really gonna get killed off either, not when they have a brand name as iconic and lucrative as the Worn Down Children, it'd be like Batman killing the Joker. XD Arsene looks understandably pissed, but it's telling that he simply grabbed the flask when they were frozen rather than just killing them outright and now has Vero trapped rather suggestively, so I'm guessing he's still taken a liking to her and might even offer for her to stay with him in exchange for letting Iggy go...though that would just lead to another impossible situation, since that's still unlikely to give them an opening to escape and the chances of you going that route are about as remote as simply killing them off in an American Dad-esque downer ending. XD

You're tearing me apart, Lisa! (I know there's no Lisa xd) Why you doing this to us, making us wait so long for two cliffhangers in a row T_T... Now we gotta wait another three weeks to find out about the conclusion ó_ò?
