Dev Diary, February 7th, 2025
🕑 Added 2025-02-07 13:00:18 +0000 UTCThis was another week where rendering animations took almost all of it. The result was 2,350 new frames of animation and 59 new story renders.
I'm shifting my focus back to story renders for now so that I feel I'm making some headway with the actual story. Rendering animations is a nice break from the good old routine, but sometimes it feels like a pause in the actual progress as it's very time-consuming.
I've attached an animation to showcase just how good upscaling and frame-doubling have become. It's an 8k/60fps animation upscaled from HD/30fps. Do note that it's 168 MB if you're on your phone with a low-data plan.
I doubt 8k animations will become the norm anytime soon, though, but it's nice to test these things once in a while. As for FPS, 30 should be good for now, although I admit I would have liked to do one of the Roxy animations in 60fps, as a vibrating vibrator needs a lot of frames per second to look realistic, and frame doubling simply won't work in that case.
Anyway, I'm back to posing with the lovely Celeste. She's wondering if we should go to the nightclub with Sam as undercover friends or as a couple. What do you think?

Animation looks spectacular, I'd probably prefer 4K 60 but still it looks fantastic. Tatoos looks a bit off to me, I'm not an expert but at some angles plus maybe lightning I don't know (maybe it's upscaling) and maybe I'm imagining things. Thanks a lot

4k looks amazing. I can see why it can't be the norm though. lol Sam will get hit on a lot, so if they pretend they are a couple Celeste could chase away the annoying guys with a bat. 🏏 I'd love to see that actually. 😂
