Elvenfoundry Devlog - Elvenfoundry Update 10

Update 10 is up, here's a list of changes and upcoming features:
- Windows mixed reality headsets are now officially supported. Any user with WMR should be able to play without manually mapping inputs. Make sure to run the game using SteamVR.
- Camera mode: You can now spawn a physical camera in game. Whatever that camera is recording will be streamed to two big screens in the room, so you can set up an additional camera to check other angles while in VR mode. To spawn the camera, there is a new menu in the game settings where you can change the output mode, set it to "Camera" to spawn the physical camera. There is currently a little bug that causes some collisions to overlap while the camera is grabbed, so you will sometimes notice it has a weird behavior. Fixing that is a priority for update 11.
- With this new menu, you can also disable desktop mirroring for some privacy. Disabling the output will make your monitor display a black screen instead of what you are seeing in your headset.
- The map has been reworked to add all new characters. The initial idea was to have some new elves in this update already, but I think I've found a way to have more advanced body customizations at runtime for the elves, without sacrificing physics accuracy. Unfortunately, I will need a little more time to implement that, and I didn't want to delay this update more. So you will need to wait a bit for that to go live, but it will be worth it once it's ready.
- Spanking effects have been re-enabled. They were not present since the new body was added. It still needs to be more accurate, but the basic functionality is enabled.
- Chains have been added as a test. To free the elf from the chains, you will need to rip off the panties. Each elf will have different outfits, and to start playing with them, some parts of the outfit will need to be removed. Someone suggested having an option to make the panties unbreakable, so you can pull them without risking ripping them. While I think that's a cool idea, I decided to push it a bit more, and one of the new areas will be focused on playing with wedgies.
- The game size has been reduced to less than half. It will grow over time with new features, but for now it's less than 1.5 Gb.
- Since the interest in the game has skyrocketed since the VR mode was added, VR will be the main target for the factory simulation too, so I started working on adding more locomotion mechanics for the game pawn. Climbing mechanics are already working, and the inventory system and base building mechanics are in active development for the VR character. I will start showing some WIPs on the Discord server soon.
