Chasing Daylight Demo
🕑 Added 2022-10-01 11:00:09 +0000 UTCThis is the first lil demo of chasing daylight that I made on Garageband, it was originally called "home".
I had no clue what I wanted to do with the song, I started writing it AGES before I released it and it didn't sound like any of the other songs I was writing at that point in my life so I had no idea what to do with it.
You can hear it gets a lot rowdier at the end and I was planning for it to turn into some big rock track and I even went in for a session with a writer to write on it maybe a year before it was released but it just didn't feel right. I love how the final version sounds now but listening to this one is kinda sweet LOOOL
You probs know already but the song is about being sad that people I love are sad and wanting to take all of their pain away - cringe and gay, you are welcome

I love how youโre able to use soft/falsetto parts of your voice Iโm on t and find it hard to do sometimes
This song is my go to for night walks and itโs awesome to hear the way you thought of starting it at first and how you decided it just didnโt feel right and came up with the masterpiece we have now ๐

Also thank you for posting this now bc I have been home sick with COVID the last few days and very sick AND bored so this is a perfect excuse to listen to the whole EP again ๐

This is so cool!! I love all the dissonance at the end, I honestly love songs that start out soft at the beginning then just go HARD at the end so itโs neat to hear this version :3
my fav song ever
canโt believe iโm paying ยฃ10 a month to CRY๐ก (this is very lighthearted - this is a lovely demo and even lovelier song as it is now, thank you for sharing this !)
