I'm drawing Dragon Claw full time, and I might have said in one of the "author facts" that it takes " 5-7 hours " for a page. But that was in the beginning when I had an easy page to draw and it's not really that way most of the time. Normally it takes 7-9 hours.
And I wish I could be faster, but that takes time and a lot of learning. Without your support I couldn't do that!!
If I wouldn't get any support, I guess I still would have created Dragon Claw, but you wouldn't get a chapter every month!
Still, it's not enough to get everyone around me to accept it as a way to make money.
My goal is to get about 400€ monthly from patreon, which would be like a part-time job.
Later I can sell the volumes on Amazon and make some cool animations to promote the releases! But please don't feel like you need to increase the amount of money you give me per month, if someone helps with 1 or 2€ a Month, that's already amazing!
To everyone who supports me with the higher tiers, I feel so thankful towards all of you!
It's amazing you would already support me with so much. I promise to create a story that is worth all the time and money you've given me!
I worked at a part-time job around the time I released chapter 1, but I had a lot of prepared pages already. At chapter 2 I noticed that It's not really healthy to work on both a part-time job and my Manga. I had a lot of hand and wrist problems at that time.
But now I'm working full-time on Dragon Claw! And it's a ton of work, most of it you don't see yet, because it's planning for future chapters, animations, story and worldbuilding, creature and character design, etc.
But I love doing it!
Because I can create something that people may need in a bad time of their life.
Immersing myself in the world of games like Monster Hunter, watching anime that inspired me to create and people that gave me happiness with the things they made.
I hope Dragon Claw can inspire you in some way!
Maybe even inspire you to start drawing yourself! I started 5-6 years ago, I can even show you how my first digital drawing looked!
Everyone starts bad, you just have to keep doing it! Someday, you might make your own manga!

Thanks for all your dedicated support Rosario! It always puts a smile to my face when people care for my health as well as my manga. Because there is of course the contrast of those people who only see me as a robot, putting out chapters as fast as possible. And while I want that as well, It's physically impossible. My will is stronger then my body, which gets tired and overworked before my willpower ends. The sudden death of Miura was indeed very glooming and unreal. I have high respect for other Mangaka, because I know how much work they put into their craft and seeing one die this early, someone who was worried that he might died before ending his manga, is truly tragic. But as others said already, he died doing what he loved and I can relate to that very well. I'm striving to have a healthy lifestyle and put out as much content as I can at the same time, but as you and others said, whats important is that I'm focusing on endurance and I will keep that in mind and heart. Thanks for your comment and I hope you will be able to read the newest chapters very soon!

I am really excited to see this story told, and I am happy to support as much as possible so everyone else can see it too. I never want to see a potentially great story go unfinished, however after Kentaro Miura's passing, even if his passing was unrelated to his work, I hope that you strive for the endurance. I want to see where this story goes to its full, unrushed and unabridged completion without pushing too fast. I'm really excited for Mangadex to come back so we can start reading again!
