Dr. Zo is nothing if not a bit unconventional! Absolutely agree, listening genuinely is of huge importance, and my worst therapy experiences have been when I felt unheard. Very true about how healing just being able to chat is!

A bit unconventional, but effective for sure. As someone who received therapy irl (good and bad) and isn't a huge jaded cynic about the process, listening to your patients is pretty important. Not just to get a lead on what they are like and what they feel their problems are (or think they aren't) but also because being able to talk to someone is often a healing process as well.
