I kinda suspect it’s both? Like it’s distinctly a sonic blast that would probably debilitate anyone, but the fact Kal’s back tendrils retracted immediately too makes me think Baxxid are programmed to additionally shut down in response to the frequency. Like, a sonic attack that rattles your senses will stop you, but if that wave was in your Mom’s voice you’d be *extra* stunned.

I think it's less a word than a sonic attack. The wave effect in the panel of Kal getting hit suggests a physical effect.

I think Kalgkur is still trying to process what in the heck just happened, that or he's too busy feeling his brains rattling about like a pair of maracas to have even noticed. The alleged conspiracy being a test of provocation, is certainly going to make a lot of commentators very happy. Guess i shouldn't be surprised i was wrong... still, seems they didn't quite expect Kalgkur of all Baxxid to go full war mode in response to the provocation.
