I have been in the young seamstress' shoes. Nana, your girls love you, but please.
John C Butler
I remember those days.

"GET ON YOUR FACE AND FUCK THE DIRT, YOU OLD BITCH!"
Val Salia
Yeahhhh, the Field Guides and Kass' Journal pages just work a lot better when they're dropped in order of relevancy, instead a bunch of them when the characters would have had the time to sit down for a while and write them.
Val Salia
"The art of scav-being"
Val Salia
To be fair, I think a lot of upper management would be better-behaved if every office kept a kindly old lady around to smack executives who behave badly
Val Salia
She's just talking about the nice little yinglet, what's the harm in that????
Val Salia
Seamstress: : O Kass: -~-
Val Salia
Yup, he's not immediately switched to "YINGLET EQUALITY NOW"
Val Salia
It's easier when you have built-in antennae to tune into the zen with
Val Salia
Kass should be getting pretty used to being groove-deprived by this point
Val Salia
Kass serves dual purposes!
Val Salia
You should look into getting one of them pneumatic facepalm-resistant glasses

Keep in mind we already have some of Kass's thoughts in https://www.valsalia.com/comic/out-of-placers/oops-203-kass-journal-v/ as this journal would have occured after this incident. I can't see him coming down overly hard on Nana, as his reaction in panel 4 is rather calm and measured, and shows that he sees his officership more as a responsibility than a position of power. Kass is not all that prideful really.
Thomas Halpin
Kass suffers a LOT for his art.
John C Butler
I really feel like Kass' expression in the last panel is because she's dreading what she has to do next.
Super Shanko
Likely the confusion there.
Super Shanko
Kass has enough knowledge to not let something like this have him get her drawn and quartered, least of all with his sudden will to be more serious, let alone with a much older woman. If anything it's showing his own flaws that need to be corrected.
CompletelyNewguy
Oh yeah Vizlet also made Lopin cry just recently too, that probably has something to do with it.
CompletelyNewguy
Honestly if Nana just criticized Kass’s behavior saying how “I thought she was a mascot because of her behavior and needed some discipline.” Kass probably would of taken that more in stride. (Perhaps even some relief that someone was holding him to a standard.) Even though Kass has been through a lot and knows he needs to behave more like an officer it doesn’t change that he gave some folks of the house a bad first impression.
Shyster
Grandma has no filter. I like her.
Badviper
Kass is an emotional person for sure, particularly after (involuntarily) adopting yinglet psychology, but they don't strike me as the unreasonable, purist, unempathic type who'll abuse authority from that emotion, at least once it calms down. They might talk a big talk about it in the moment, but they've yet to actually cross that line.
ComradeDoose
Here's hoping Kass gets to choose her punishment so he can go with something "harmless but showing authority", like making her watch the other girls make Yannit's outfit *without giving any comments or advice.* Seriously though, I hope the Trademaster never hears about what just happened. He would probably make an example of her just to show everyone that Kass really is an officer and not a mascot.
John C Butler
Per my last comment on the previous page, still really worried about MeeMaw here. The seamstress' and Kass' reaction does nothing to assuage that concern.
Raan
Kass looks like he's donion rings but, going by earlier comics, he hasn't forgotten what he himself thought of yinglets while he was human, which is why he is generally somewhat understanding about those things I can imagine he might get fed up with it eventually though
Ngrasta
Kass reeeaching for that zen.
Super Shanko
She just threw off Kass’s groove.😱
Flora P-Stylianides
Precious boy <3 He recovered quite well from the whegh, but what will the yingle do now? It is most *certainly* making me smile to see a little yinglet <3

I face palmed so hard on that last panel I nearly wrecked my glasses lol
