This flashback set to the tune of Metallica's "Bleeding Me." Probably the version off of the S&M album. The feeling of the unstoppable grinding slide forward into a future you don't want, an entropy of body, mind, and resources that drives you away from the person you want to be and the life you want to live, and forces you where you have no choice but to go. I know that feeling, too. It got better, though. I hope Elim doesn't forget.

It’s always you….changed….but still you. The question is….how will home see you? (I came home and was despised, call a baby murder, even had blood thrown on my uniform while being called that. I was told by my dad, a WW2 vet, to best say I never served. That hurt worse than the name calling. He finally near his death he said that was his biggest regret.) Hang in there Elim….you’ll be okay.
