I think he’s the yinglet equivalent of his human age, developmentally anyway since he and Elim are only mid-20’s or so, while (human) Viz looks around her 30’s. That and you’re just seeing the small tweaks of an artist style changing over time.

I realize that some of the difference in Kass' appearance is due to changes in character design over the course of the comic. Like Kass, both Lupin's and Vislet's muzzles have gotten longer over time due to a shift in style on the part of Val. I still kind of think Zhat Zhing changed Kass into a young adult/late adolescent Yinglet, biologically speaking, and s/he hasn't quite finished physically maturing.

I think it’s Kass seeing that look that says “I know what you were just doing” only it’s Lopin of all people. And it’s midday, and it’s like who the hell else could be around to join him. And he could be naked.
