P41: The snow lizard finally got sick of its backpack and decides to drop her off at a nearby ground sensor station. Other humans should come along shortly so it doesn't stick around.

I like it. It’s somewhat sentient, and perhaps when Evie saw the sensor station, she started struggling in that direction. When the creature felt that, it dropped her off where she wanted to go. Kind of like an alien animal Uber….
