Giant slugs: variants
🕑 Added 2022-08-14 22:20:52 +0000 UTCBased on some of your suggestions, I added two stomach inflation variants of image 21 or Lena's little adventure. It might work for the story as well; who knows what the slug is doing to her in there. It's a small edit, but looks nice in my opinion.

I'm working on Iris and her team's first encounter. The crew of the APC still has 2 not yet designed characters. I already heard a few suggestions, but if anyone has any other preferences about their appearance, do tell. Although Iris really is the main character at least in the upcoming 2 stories with the team, so the other 2 might just be nothing more than background characters (or expendable?).
The linework for that one is a bit more involved but hopefully in a week or so I will post the first few images.

One idea would be a thicker, chubbier character, like a hapless tech-specialist who isnβt fit or athletic. Sheβd be particularly vulnerable outside the safety of the APC.

But really, maybe do a poll with the ideas you liked most from the comments, it will help you get a better idea of what people want from the suggestions, specially from the shy people that don't comment too often. And, well nice addition to the variants!

I'm really looking forward to Iris' story; I adore her design! Very much rooting for an ending similar to Rescue Party and Monster Hunter, though I'll enjoy it regardless I'm sure. As for the APC background crew members, I'd honestly start them off wearing helmets and face masks, if the goal truly is to focus on Iris at the beginning. If you decide that they're expendable, no one need be disappointed that a fetching design was "wasted" and if you decide they need to join the fun later on, you can simply remove their helmets.
One of the APC crew should definitely have glasses, and my first thought is along the lines of Fio from Metal Slug.
