Fun fact: my dad worked with Common (or as my dad calls him “Rashid”) on an unnamed movie. My dad worked as a Secret Service agent for 20 years and provided some advice on firearm handling and general aspects of security. He had a lunch with him in DC and I was lucky enough to tag along. We ate on the rooftop at a swanky hotel in Georgetown and shared bone marrow (slight flex). He was talking about this role he was playing as a private body guard who was described as incredibly focused in a non expressive, calculated way. I told him to check out Todd from Breaking Bad as a reference (I was 19, lol). We later found out this was for his role in John Wick 2!

I'm so happy you guys finally got to this record. It's one of the most beautiful front to back and so evocative of that chicago hiphop sound during the early 2000s. Would love for you guys to do Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor sometime soon as well. I think Kev would really like the production on that record and it sits really nicely alongside The College Dropout and Be sonically, and Lupe is one of if not the greatest spitters in the game and you guys would appreciate his lyricism and wordplay. Keep it up broskis much love!

Jxlison

goated album, gotta do Donuts soon :)

Ryan Carroll

Hi Connor, do you want my vinyl of “be”? I can send it over to you.

Brandon Allman

YES! PLEASE DO ANY ISAIAH RASHAD ALBUM IM BEGGING!

Noah Smyser

They should do songs of sage by navy

Hmm idk

My suggestion for a solo reaction would be toro y moi - mahal. Because i dont think you never heard a toro project but you herd him on features like on rodeo. He is a really great producer and singer.

Briana Padilla

Day 500 of asking y’all to do motomami by Rosalía ( jk it’s day 1) BUT PLEASEEE

johnnnyy

exactly what I've been thinking as I'm watching this, instrumental-wise too

Kacey Romero

Y’all have to react to to Navy Blues new album Memoirs in Armour, I swear he is the new generations common

Danny Petersson

Thank you so much for the info. As a kanye fan myself i still think it’s worth going through the projects, theres some good moments imo, this is a time in kanyes lifestory that i believe is very interesting. Regardless of what you think about kanyes beliefs

Divya Patel

I shot them a DM about this earlier but kev said conner wasn't too interested in doing a reaction video for both vultures, but he did say connor liked some of the tracks and that they might do a video for some singles from the albums that stood out.

Stephen Rodriguez

Have you guys done an Isaiah rashad reaction? Cilvia demo is a great record

purplelinks

and another classic again ! connor and kevin u dont miss ! cheers from Vienna !

Hmm idk

My favorite tiny desk concert ever is the one common did in the white house. Its incredible

braddlepop

Surely Geordie Greep is a must listen for 2024!

Vincent H

Finally!!

Danny Petersson

Awesome video!🔥 Quick question. Are you definately not gonna react here to kanyes new stuff? Havent heard your guys position on it, i get why you wouldnt do it tho. Have anyone of you gave it a listen off air. If anybody knows let me know:)

Danny Petersson

Really? That sucks, guess ill delete the app now

James Edwards

Would love a reaction to the follow up album, "Finding Forever". A very different album from BE but Common and Kanye are still going crazy there.

yahire

I haven't watched this yet because I'm saving this video to watch at work lol, so what I'm about to say may be unrelated but just hope for you guys to know about it. The Genius app is terrible, for some reason, the app loves to use a SHIT-LOAD of RAM (memory) which causes the phone to become laggy, which causes stress on the phone, consumes battery, which makes the phone get hot. I'm not sure if you guys experience this as well but I occasionally hear you guys complaining about the Genius app. ... and as of writing this, I'm questioning if you guys even use the app or not. Either way, I would recommend just using the browser or going back and using paper like the old days lol. (If you run into any issues) Also, I was wondering, what wireless headphones do you guys use?

Adam Brady

I second this. New Geordie Greep album is easily my current AOTY

Caden Gant

I've been subscribed to the patreon since the Aquemini era and I have literally been waiting all month for a video to drop all month. Fuck those haters, and saying that an album is bad or that an artist should fall of is just objectively hate. I think some of your long time fans may just have trouble seeing you guys take a genre shift into things that have more mainstream appeal like Ariana Grande for example. Even though you've done Brat and Sabrina Carpenter, I feel like those have a certain energy that a hip-hop audience is willing to entertain more than a pop artist. I love hanging out just to vibe regardless. Love a good music endeavor. Cheers!
