The World of One Week Heroine

Hey everyone, it always surprises me how quickly the holidays approach each year. You blink sometime in September and suddenly it is December 8th and you are panicking because your family remembers you exist and requires you to go be social. That’s without even mentioning the holiday rush that makes my day job even more hectic. That being said, I got what I wanted to get done this week done (just barely). Two more scenes have been implemented. I did run into some jankiness with the engine I am using and had to brush up on my Japanese as most of the documentation hasn’t been translated but I managed to find out what I needed to. That being said, I am 100% moving to a different engine after this game, something more robust like Godot or even Ren’py. Don’t worry, there is nothing inherently wrong with the engine I am using now, it is just there is a lot more English support for other engines.
Unfortunately, my artist has come down with the flu, so I have implored him to get some rest and relax. That means there isn’t much to show you in terms of art this week, but we should have EX completed by next week’s update and possibly Quincy too.
The Banana Republic
This week we will be talking about the world of One Week Heroine, as I have mentioned before One Week Heroine is set in an alternate modern-day setting. This was done to avoid modern day conflicts (who needs those am I right?) and to allow for more flexibility in world building. That being said, the world of One Week Heroine is not far off from our own, there are still countries that are considered “western” and “eastern” and there was still a cold war that ended with the dismantling of an “eastern” empire, although in One Week Heroine, the cold war only ended a decade ago. I have left the details of that war vague as the exact nature of it doesn’t matter too much for One Week Heroine but may matter in the future if I end up making a sequel.
What you need to know is that the end of the cold war led to many banana republic dictatorships popping up around the world, and that is something the western powers are not happy with. One of these is dictatorships is the island of Peeltopia. (Note all background images are placeholders still)
Officially, Peeltopia’s main export is sugar, but unofficially it makes a majority of its wealth from a different kind of sugar: cocaine. Peeltopia is run by well-dressed but sinister Hugo Sway, simply know by his people as “The Dictator”. Taking down the Dictator and replacing them with someone friendlier to the western powers is C.O.P.A.’s main objective. But that task won’t be easy, the Dictator has a large military presence on the island and two trusted henchmen that oversee his interests, together they call themselves “The Regime” (more on the Dictator and his henchmen will come in a later week).
Corrupt banana republics are rather common, so why does C.O.P.A. care so much about Peeltopia?
Thanks Quincy. Substance C is a new drug circulating Peeltopia that is both a truth serum and an inhibition canceler. Simply, it makes people tell the truth and stops them from using their common sense leading to bouts of violence and sexual promiscuity in the Peeltopian population. This is something the west does not want to reach its shores. You need to stop that from happening. Or don’t, it’s ultimately up to you.
Next Week
I was planning on going through some of Molly’s background, but that would make this dev blog quite long and I want to get back to work implementing more scenes for launch. So, I will leave that until next week. I do plan on having a break from writing the blog the week after: I have to go hang out with my extended family, but I will be back before the end of the year!

My favorite thing about NTR is definitely the corruptive aspect of it. Like a girlfriend/wife that is initially supportive and loving of their significant other getting seduced away through various means (blackmail, an evil boss, just being seduced and picked up, dick comparisons, etc.) is just super hot because it shows that she's turning into a horny, slutty bitch. As for Molly, maybe a situation where if her corruption is high enough, she falls for the slick lines of some handsome stranger who she meets at the bar (who is secretly an Peeltopia spy) and has sex with him? And then they keep in contact (either through the spy getting blackmail photos or Molly simply finding him charming) and she eventually becomes dependent on his cock.

For me, the forbidden fruit aspect of it alongside the moral degradation is what attracts me so much towards NTR. To see someone who at the start of the story is so sure of themselves and their convictions, only for them to start struggling with their base desires and then seeing them slowly fall towards immorality because of their lust and by the end throw themselves head first into the very same thing that they were struggling with at the very beggining... ufff, yeah. Those are always a treat to read. Of course, if it is spiced up with some ahegao to show how their morals and inhibitions are slowly getting broken down, as well as some sort of discrete tattoo, body writting or perhaps a nipple ring-like piercing; to show how they have embraced their fall and new morals? That just makes it better. One of my favorite scenarios would be when the woman is getting pounded to kingdom come and her significant other is nearby and could discover what is going on at any moment while at the same time, she´s trying her hardest not to orgasm; in part because she doesn´t want to make any noise that could alert everyone of what is going on, and in part because she doesn´t want to give her current partner the satisfaction of knowing that they made her cum.
