Not crying here 😢 from the inner kid in me growing up alone and not fitting in, to the inner kid in you, let's go outside and play ball til the street lights come on, then we'll play video games or read comics while scoffing milk & cookies (Yes, I was that kinda kid, I still am). The kid in me is so so happy that I can still enjoy video games, movies, books, the big nerd that I am. It's become part of my healing and giving that inner kid a big hug. Even at my age I don't relate to my friends who are married, who have kids, who has life long careers but that's ok. I thought for the longest time I was missing out by not having all that but someone once told me they could be saying the same thing about me. "Look at her, her time is her own, her freedom is her own etc". It's impossible to compare. Catholism is very much the same esp Ireland in the 80s. It's a lot of guilt, shaming, very much "how dare you have a filthy thought of any kind! You need to confess your sins or you'll be dammed in hell forever. Every time you lie your soul will begin to turn black and you'll never get to heaven". Horrific things to tell a child. But like you say, it's all you know. You've no reason to question or doubt the adults telling you this. It's only in my 40s I've been comfortable in my sexuality because of that upbringing and even more so because of erotic audios. I feel seen, I feel safe, I feel included not just by an audio but I feel that I belong with the lovely lovely people I've met because of it. I really do come up with the most fecking bizzare questions - who comes up with a Death Row meal?!? 😂 😂 If you're going to be podcasting into old age, you'll need a seance for it to reach me by then 😂 😂 New Zealand is more like Ireland than Australia - so I've been told. I think it's because of the scenery. Believe it or not one of my favourite bubble bath scents is in the men section. It's Black Pepper & Ginseng. I don't understand why it's for men. If you like the smell, you like it, whatever your gender.
