Ancient Stepwell [57x95]

A stepwell has been requested for years now and we wanted to do one to the full scale we think they should be. So... this map is massive! One of our largest ever maps, so we hope you like it. The perspective was tricky to get right, I think we've managed a good mix of realistic and playable. We also made a ton of variations for it, so hopefully it'll come in handy in a range of situations and epic battles. :)

Which ones? They should be up to date.

FYI a few of these are missing in Moulinette

Would you ever consider a version of the "flooded" variant where the water is transparent enough that the PCs can still see below it? I'm thinking it would be a lot of fun for venturing down below into the flooded ruins (something I may or may not be planning at this very moment ;-) ).

That was difficult to show due to the perspective on the map. We might do an interior map which would have passages in and out and connect up those subterranean areas.
I guess compress the image so that it doesn't exceed 20mb.
How do you get inside? I dont see a gate anywhere...

So, I can't get the arcane channel variant onto roll20. It says it exceeds the 20mb. limit for pro members. I've deleted a ton of maps to make room and other variants upload except that one. Does anyone know any troubleshooting tips?

Ah no... how do you always release the perfect map for my campaign the week after I spend time in the pixel mines hodgpodging one together.

This is really cool! I'm curious about those four stairwells heading down, to below the waterline. Can you describe what's going on there? If the water fills up another few inches, will it drain down into those sections? Do those stairs lead down into a basement area, or are they just smaller reservoirs, with a flat wall at the bottom of the stairs?

I will put a link in the post but here you go: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stepwell

Hi so, what is a Stepwell? Is there any info you can point to that would help us understand more about what these are historically? This map looks incredible and I feel like it begs for some interesting interiors on the sides!
