Wow this is all very helpful! I would like for the experience to feel as real and intimate as possible and from the points you made and the results of the vote it seems like the dummy head is the best way to go!

Hi .. I'm from Germany and hope you excuse my bad English. But I think there are a few things that you can say about the microphones. I think that many people do not understand how these binaural microphones work .. one often recognizes this by the fact that many are only busy with their ears .. but the ears are not there to play with them. They make the impression that the sound comes from above, from behind or from below ... when you cut off the ears of a human (excuse the metaphor) ..then he hears only left or right ... so the shape of the ears is decisive for directional listening. It is like that every person has different ears. in one the ear canal is longer .. in other shorter ... or even the shape is different. That's why the 3dio works well for some and not for others ... in the worst case the deviations are so big that the sound is heard in the middle of the head and not from behind ... But you can adjust that somewhat by using other in-ear headphones ... depending on how far they go in the ear you can minimize the differences and achieve a better "3d" experience In any case, the dummy head or the 3dio is the best choice for ASMR .. because they have ears When you breathe in my ear and I close my eyes I do not just hear your breathing ... I feel your breath in my hair .. .and one thinks to feel the warmth of the breath. but why ? the illusion is so real for the head .. that it can not be otherwise ... "someone has to stand behind you and breathe in your ear" I've studied sound engineering .. and i know that the Nt1a is one of the worst microphones I know ... you always have it there but no situation where it really fits and sounds good. that it is well rated is because it is cheap and looks high quality. You would also need 2 mirofone to create at least "left-right" ... do not buy it .. you would be disappointed the Zoom H4N Pro is a stereo microphone so it goes at least "left-right" ... these crossover microphones are called X / Y stereophonic ... but the angle is not adjustable which ensures that it does not always work well ... especially if you work with different distances to the microphone (at Asmr probably very often) the B1-E head is very interesting for you .. through the whole head shape, you have a better "3d" effect. because the sound needs a major detour around the head .... which is not the case for the 3dio ... but i don't like this big head...One only sees the head and loses you out of eyes .. and to see you makes it exciting ;-). something different ... I think you do that very well. One of the best asmr in the net. very sensitive ... not too loud .. I have problems falling asleep and and it helps me very much .. I've used up to 2 hours until I fell asleep .. Today I hear you 10 minutes and suddenly the alarm rings, - ) ... Thank-you hope my english was ok .. have to admit that google has helped something XD

In my case the best ASMR has never required the absolute best mics - presentation and variety is more important. I voted for the dummy head because of the extra accessory that comes with it.
