Stranded part 1: Castaway-6
🕑 Added 2021-06-11 17:22:31 +0000 UTCIt's full of fallen fruits on the ground, but without knowing which ones are edible and which are not, you only pick one type, the yellow ones, and eat just a bit of it every now and then, just in case you'll see some side effects. You gather some big leaves and create some shoes as soon as you can. No more roars since the last one, but you still got the feeling that you're not alone in that jungle, and at this point literally anything could be a threat to you. The river gives you water, and so far, no diarrhoea. "At least the water is good..." you whisper, realizing that you need a shelter because soon it's going to be dark.
If you're close to this planet's equator, the night will be sudden and it'll last as much as the day. You find a dry place not too far from the river, no ants or other weird insects, so you pick up a rod and the leaves on the ground to get comfortable. As soon as it gets darker, all the plants, mushrooms and also many insects start changing color and turning bright. The bio-luminescent jungle surrounds you, painted with teal, purple, yellow and white lights. Everything's too wet to light a fire anyway, you will sleep like that... or at least you'll try.
Well... trying is the first step to failure, right? As soon as it got darker, it happened again. Another roar, closer, this time. Huge stomps moving in your direction make you understand that you can't stay there, so you start to run.
You know you can't go on like that, you need to climb a tree and hope that whatever's coming your way won't be able to do the same. After a while you stumble and fall down a precipice. You roll, crumble, but in the end you can't control the fall and when you finally stop downhill, you can barely stand up for all the hits. You try to breathe, but you realize you have some bruised ribs and probably both ankles twisted. Your face is pushed down in the dirt, but then you hear something getting closer... someone.
Slow, heavy steps come closer from the bushes, you quickly try to stand up, and before your head starts spinning you see it. A huge, humanoid figure, with some wide horns and grey skin covered in scars and tattoos. The alien stands in front of you, menacingly, with the bow in one hand and a very sharp knife in the other...
