She should seriously send everything she has to the police… Behaviors like this often escalate. So he started with a 17 year old, almost 18 this time, next time he will probably go younger, and younger, and younger. Creeps like that always escalate.

Grooming isn't isolation, though isolation is an abuse tactic. Grooming is establishing an emotional connection and gaining trust with a potential underage victim, sometimes their family as well. They normalize behavior and prep them for abuse; they set up situations to abuse them with the gained trust.
