Yes l understand it takes awhile to get into this one. I am happy it made you think of how a person would be so different and would branch off his father's teaching so much. Yet that is the way of the world these days, we want to grow from what our parents teach us. It has nothing to do with bad parenting. Just simply that we want to experience other things in life and see what the world has to offer. So really in the end Paul grew from his father's teaching and became his own man trying to be a success in his own right. It is why Paul's father said he loved him even though he did understand him.
