Finally! ✨

But Monday was the day!

It’s an anemone, chrysanthemum, poppy, pansy, forget-me-nots and a four-leaf clover. (Previous bunch is a rose, marigold, cosmo, jonquil and Daisy… with a little bumble bee friend.) It was done by the same artist, a talented woman who loves detail and colour (swoon).
My masochist side was delighted, the tingles and sensations, the challenge. 4 and a half hours of bliss.
*CONTENT WARNING: TATTOO NEEDLE*
I’m obsessed… I think my next one will be on my thigh? I’ve been cooking up an idea for a while. Peonies…. Big showy frilly ones. I have a concept and an artist who found me by kismet. (That’s another story for another day I suppose.) But filling out this arm felt like a triumph, and immediately started me daydreaming about what’s next.

There’s something about getting tattooed now that feels so much like decorating this body before it falls apart. That sounds morbid but it’s helping me so much with my anxieties about ageing. Chronic pain issues have given me a whole different relationship with being tattooed, a different perspective on having a human body really.

Decorate yourself while you can. 🌸

Love the buzzing of the machine and dull pain. It’s a great escape from reality. I love your new piece

I myself am un-inked, and tend to steer clear of (non vaccine related) needles whenever possible, but THAT is some fucking beautiful artwork!
