Whispers to me ✨
🕑 Added 2020-12-16 04:41:22 +0000 UTCMe, with Elly wrapped around me, in her studio/apartment in Ottawa, 3 years ago. These were darling dreamy days during a difficult year. What would I say to myself if I could whisper in my own ear that afternoon?
I was soaking up every good moment, I didn’t need to be told, I knew all of that beauty and love was fleeting in some ways, but undying in others. (It’s still right there.) I would say “be brave, you’re on the right path”. I would say “it’s going to get worse before it gets better”. But I knew those things already even then, I didn’t need to hear them.
I guess I would say “good luck”. I would say “keep going”. I would let myself know it was going to be better than I’d ever imagined was possible. In all of the long nights wrestled with my head and considered making these big life changes, it hadn’t once occurred to be that I would be this happy. 2020 has been full of surprises.

Loved your story in Best Lesbian Erotica 5. It was well deserving of it's headliner positioning as the first in the volume.
