🎨 Digital Painting/Studies: 2016 - 2017 🖌️
🕑 Added 2024-09-11 18:12:41 +0000 UTCAlthough I was pretty happy with what I could do on pencil & ink at the time, I knew I wasn't going to make it with those skills. The competition in art is huge & tough, but it's better not to think about it, just have fun and express yourself.
I've seen many fall & give up because of "competition." If you are willing to continue and learn, you will get through. Don't see others as competition, but a path to learn from (no matter how much better or worse you think you are to them, everyone has something to offer).
I've still got ways to go. I just want to share my mindset on why I'm still going.

So I decided to go into different mediums. I've tried traditional painting, but the most success I found was digital painting. Just like a new game, in the beginning, I was just having all kinds of fun, just making all kinds of stuff. But I realized, I need to improve, and fast. And the fastest way I could think of, was going back to the fundamentals (life-drawing). 🗿

Amazing stuff man. If I was in your art class I'd be the one just giving up after seeing your work! 😅 For real though, great words of wisdom you shared. I for sure felt that way at one point and didn't go hard enough, but I'm starting to draw a lot more these days without any pressure, just having fun, and I've been loving it 😎
