I know there seems to be a lot of fans disappointed in this season and the finale but I thought it was great! They dropped a ton of deep lore and magic that GoT was always missing. The next season will be full of the battles that everyone wants. But this season definitely wasn't as bad as people make it out to be.

I admired the part of Rhaenyra and Alicent's conversation where Rhaenyra states how "History will paint you as the villian". Very fitting with the book and it's biased historical style. Great overaching summary of this season as well with it's theme of perceptions from smallfolk and lords alike.

Tbh I think Rhaena’s arc is better if she doesn’t get a dragon (during the war). She has to accept that she has value as a person minus a dragon, and make her family see it too. With a dragon it’s “hey dad, I have the status symbol, do you love me now?”
