because the tattoos are more effective than potions, why wouldn't he spend the time to focus on the better healing method?

ZaA

Sorry, but why even bother with tattoos? He now has a spatial artifact he can just teleport the potion into his stomach like hes been doing

Goof Nasty

I feel like there is way too much rinse repeat plot is happening, just add more blues to the fight and so on. I feel like there is a need to just say i fought yada yada and move on. To progress the plot

Before he did the ritual, he asked Micky to take him back into the sea to the first visible Island in the sea and he did the ritual there. But it is a strange miscalculation that he found the pulse pattern for Healing ink, Troll's Fury Ink and inked so many tattoos all within the time it took to reach from that island back to the coast. That should be some editing and checks done either this or the previous chapter.

The consuming their own flesh part probably, but I doubt it would last long; plus it is possible that the fact the life mana is present in their flesh may trigger their bloodline to start eating the surrounding flesh as well. P.S. I doubt it would effect the urges b/c their desire for cannablism seems to be independent of their self preservation.

Weren't they already at the coast before...? The start of this chapter seems to imply Percy has been working on tattoos for a few days, which would put them solidly over land, but then it talks about them still being at the coastline.

Were a holder of the drain lineage tatooed with healing tatoos of their own or higher stage, would the tatoos prevent them from suffering from their bloodline (at least as long as they last)?

It might have bought them a little time until they got spotted, but then their enemies would reach them more easily if they just stopped flying. Also, they wouldn't really know when they got spotted, because somebody could see a giant bird flying from very far away, while Percy and Micky wouldn't necessarily notice everyone on the ground.

Jacob

I would think that traveling at night would be safer. Harder to be spotted from a ways off at least. It would slow them down, they’d basically lose the advantage of not needing sleep, but I think it would have been worth it to sneak in to the Spire.
