Yet, your shallow experience and immature ideals have done you no favors. Instead, they’ve alienated you from those around you, making you blind to your arrogance."
Uchiha Toshiro, a transmigrator, had long learned to adapt to his surroundings, even blending in with the younger generation when necessary. He understood the importance of playing along, of fitting in seamlessly with the environment around him.
"You’re so young—how many people have you truly met? How many real experiences have you had? And yet, you dare to isolate yourself, thinking you’re above the rest? With all those thoughts you brood over daily, it’s no surprise you’ve been so easily manipulated by others."
"Fire release: Great Flame Prison."
Toshiro swiftly performed a sequence of hand seals with one hand, placing his other hand firmly on Itachi’s body. His intent was clear: seal away Itachi’s chakra and take full control of him.
“…A shadow clone?”
As the Itachi before him dissolved into a puff of white smoke, Toshiro’s expression darkened. His lips twitched in frustration as he quickly scanned his surroundings.
"Was it an illusion you cast right after using Amaterasu? You’re truly relentless!"
After searching for a while without locating his target, Toshiro wasn’t discouraged. He lowered his gaze, sharpening his focus to sense his surroundings.
His eyes briefly swept over Asuka and the others, locked in battle nearby, and then shifted to the barrier enclosing the area.
"Trying to gather intel on me, are you?"
Toshiro chuckled as he noticed Obito, who was fending off attacks from Asuka’s group while subtly stealing glances in his direction.
"You won’t get what you’re looking for."
The thought of the masked man attempting to decipher his mangekyo abilities amused him—Obito’s efforts were destined to fail.
“…There you are. Quick, aren’t you?”
Toshiro’s attention locked onto the Uchiha street behind him, zeroing in on a particular shop where his opponent was hiding.
Bang!
Without hesitation, Toshiro moved silently, closing the distance in an instant. With one decisive blow, he drove his fist into the wall of the shop.
With a thunderous crash, Toshiro's fist punched through the wall. Itachi, caught off guard, was seized by the neck and yanked out from his hiding spot. Dust covered his form as he instinctively swung the broken sword in his hand, aiming for Toshiro's heart.
Toshiro snorted disdainfully, easily deflecting the broken blade with a casual slap of his hand. With a surge of force, he shook his right arm, lifting Itachi effortlessly before hurling him across the street. If Toshiro had desired, a slight increase in pressure could have snapped Itachi's neck.
Bang!
Itachi crashed through another wall, landing in disarray within a shop across the street. His entire body throbbed with pain, and he could tell several bones were broken. His broken sword was nowhere in sight, lost amid the chaos of his fall.
Meanwhile, outside the barrier surrounding the Uchiha clan, Danzo Shimura watched the fireworks and skirmishes unfolding inside. His expression darkened as he spat a curse under his breath.
"Something seems off in there, Danzo-sama!" one of his subordinates remarked nervously.
Danzo sneered, his voice dripping with disdain.
"They're all worthless fools!"
He glared at the barrier, his frustration evident.
"The so-called Uchiha prodigies and even those claiming to rival Madara—none of them amount to anything. In the end, it always falls on me to clean up the mess."
"Prepare yourselves—we're going in!" Danzo ordered, his expression grim. He added coldly, "Kill everyone you encounter, regardless of gender, age, or status!"
Without waiting for a response, Danzo strode toward the barrier's entrance, issuing further instructions to a subordinate at his side.
"Inform Lord Hokage of the situation and request immediate support!"
The situation had veered off course, and it was clear that neither he nor Sarutobi would emerge from this unscathed. Regardless of the complications, the Uchiha problem had to be resolved tonight, no matter the cost.
At the entrance to the Uchiha residence…
"It seems this plan is doomed to fail," Obito muttered, his tone indifferent.
He hadn’t anticipated Toshiro’s quiet return to the Uchiha clan, a move that had thrown a wrench into his carefully laid scheme to eradicate the clan.
Still, Obito wasn’t particularly disheartened.
Obito knew he could retreat whenever he wanted, unlike Konoha’s high-ranking officials, who were not in such a favorable position. He considered whether the ongoing battle between Toshiro and the Third Hokage might provide an opportunity to unseal the Nine-Tails once more.
If that happened, both Konoha and the Uchiha clan would be brought to their knees, leaving the rampaging Nine-Tails to finish the job.
This village will no longer pose a threat to me.
"Well then... goodbye!"
Obito glanced at Itachi in the distance, his thoughts lingering on the patterns in the younger Uchiha’s eyes. He wondered if Itachi could be recruited into Akatsuki as a valuable ally.
As for Uchiha Asuka and the others nearby, they were of no real concern to him. He had only stayed to observe Toshiro’s eye techniques, though his efforts had been in vain.
Just as Obito activated Kamui to leave, a voice interrupted his thoughts.
"Leaving so soon? Not so fast!"
As the power in Obito's eyes surged, distorting the space before him, another Toshiro emerged from the shadow of a nearby Uchiha clan member. Armed with a ninja sword, this shadow raced toward Obito with swift determination.
“It’s pointless. Just a clone—it’ll shatter under the spatial distortion soon enough.”
Obito recognized the figure as one of Toshiro’s shadow clones. In the vision of his Mangekyō Sharingan, its presence was unmistakable, and he had already anticipated the attack.
However, something unexpected caught his attention.
“Hm? What’s this?”
As he shifted into his personal Kamui dimension, his gaze fell on a small sphere, no larger than a baby’s fist, floating ominously. Intricate black lines etched across its surface radiated faint energy, and the chakra it contained felt... unsettling.
The creeping unease quickly turned into realization.
“So this is the secret of your Mangekyo?”
In Obito’s vision, the black runes etched on the sphere suddenly flared to life, emitting a dim, otherworldly glow. From the sphere emerged streams of shifting black shadows, which twisted and contorted before solidifying into the form of Toshiro.
Toshiro’s gaze swept across the strange, distorted space of Obito’s Kamui dimension, a flicker of regret flashing in his eyes.
His own dojutsu had evolved to mimic and assimilate others’ bloodline abilities, even dojutsu. Naturally, Obito’s Kamui had long been on his radar.
However, the realization struck him—while creating a space channel was now within his grasp, the lack of a matching alternate dimension to complement the dojutsu rendered the divine power incomplete and ultimately meaningless.
“Well, well, boy,” Toshiro said with a smirk, his clone fixing its sharp eyes on Obito’s still figure. “You’ve certainly grown bold, haven’t you? Setting your sights on your big brother’s power now?”
He surveyed the surroundings once more, then let his gaze fall directly on Obito.
“I can only imagine the look on your face beneath that mask—shock, disbelief… maybe even a little desperation. Am I right?”
"You..."
The mask obscured Obito's expression, but Toshiro knew that the expression on his face at this moment must be very interesting.
